Starting a new IG video series called "sumOH NO HE DIDN'T!: Travis tries to learn how to pull some way other than conventional"

In episode 1 we find the queues of a lifetime conventional puller deeply engrained in the main character as a struggling athlete (Travis) tries to learn proper sumo technique but lifts his toes completely off the ground each rep in a foolish attempt to drive through his heels like he's always been accustomed to.

529 lb/240 kg #deadlift with gas in the tank. This is really interesting. I haven’t trained conventional with any consistency in a year (?). But the strength gains in my hamstrings from sumo have done a very good job of preserving strength overall. Attempted 575 after (mix of kilo and pound plates) and missed because my pec cramped. 529 lb/240 kg #deadlift with gas in the tank. This is really interesting. I haven’t trained conventional with any consistency in a year (). But the strength gains in my hamstrings from sumo have done a very good job of preserving strength overall. Attempted 575 after (mix of kilo and pound plates) and missed because my pec cramped. I was going through some personal things, was coming down with a cold, and due to being in the middle of a diet, I was physically and mentally fatigued.... But I made it to the gym anyways. Max effort lower session with 2” deficit deadlift: 455x1 then 500x1. My low back felt like πŸ’© all afternoon, so I was pretty shocked at how this moved. The tightness returned once the session was finished πŸ˜† This was followed by banded leg curls, straight bar good mornings, abs, then some mobility work all in 45 mins. Box squats have many benefits that transition over to a traditional squat. If you’re not doing them already then you should definitely try these on your next leg day! πŸ’ͺ🏼

Bench Didn’t go so good this week. 
I was planning on hitting a PR. My old PR was 395lbs. And warming up I was feeling good. I hit 315lbs easy and 350lbs easy. But when I went for 370lbs...Nothing. And I tried it twice. .
But after that I went down to 315lbs for a 3x5 and put the Slingshot on for a set of 5 pause reps.
And a set of 225lbs for 13 controlled reps to get a pump. .
The rest of the workout was more bodybuilding oriented using machines and cables to hit chest, triceps, and delts. .

- 12 single arm lat standing pull backs each arm (30lbs)
- 12 single arm sitting lay pull downs on cable machine (40lbs)

- 10 deltoid extensions above head on row machine (20lbs)

- 15 Standard Tricep extensions on cable machine (40lbs)
