I’m calling these Flared Back Extensions 🤷🏼‍♂️
Start off with a 45 degree back extension, come up until your body is straight, then after a slight pause squeeze your ass and lower back, flare up and hold!
Now you can make these really suck by adding weight or making the hold longer as well but keep the reps lower because you will get the back pump of your life if you do too many. We are here to get strong not shredded!

Safe to say the tricep feels a lot better!! Getting close to bench PR numbers💪. Been training full body recently to increase calorie burn and heal from some nagging injuries but still getting stronger week to week. Always improve even if you have to switch from the original game plan, sometimes life will throw you a curveball but it’s better to step back and readjust then to stop all together. .

This may be the first video I’ve ever posted of Morgan performing Power Snatches. I’m usually able to watch her 2x/week, so on each of these days I have her perform the full lifts. This is jus one of the rare weeks that I get to see her lift more often.⠀

The Power Snatch is an assistance exercise, and as the term implies we want this exercise to assist us in improving the Squat Snatch. That means performing the portions of the exercise as similarly as possible to a full Snatch. In this instance, that means keeping the pull the same and keeping the footwork the same. ⠀
⠀
One could certainly Power Snatch more weight if they just jumped their feet wider and wider as they got heavier, but if the feet jump wider than if one were to Squat Snatch, then the carry-over starts to diminish!⠀

I’m usually able to watch her 2x/week, so on each of these days I have her perform the full lifts. This is jus one of the rare weeks that I get to see her lift more often.⠀ ⠀ The Power Snatch is an assistance exercise, and as the term implies we want this exercise to assist us in improving the Squat Snatch. That means performing the portions of the exercise as similarly as possible to a full Snatch. In this instance, that means keeping the pull the same and keeping the footwork the same. ⠀ ⠀ One could certainly Power Snatch more weight if they just jumped their feet wider and wider as they got heavier, but if the feet jump wider than if one were to Squat Snatch, then the carry-over starts to diminish!⠀ ⠀ Leave a comment below and tag a friend who would find this interesting!

After yesterday’s insane lift where I literally had to wait for every single machine or bench or dumbbell to clear up, I decided waking up at 5:30 and hitting the gym at 6am wasn’t such a bad idea😂 
Forgot my headphones but it still beat having to wait for every machine 🙏

I was in a super rush so I kept the number of exercises in this workout to just 3. But it was challenging and I definitely got a good sweat going!!

I’ve mentioned before that I’m really trying to work on form. My sumo deadlift form needs work. I should be maintaining a straight up and down torso throughout the lift. It’s hard to correct my own form without having a coach or watching my lifts recorded. I’m excited though to see how I improve my form over time with being able to watch my progress in these videos!! With good form comes serious strength gains and that’s my goal 💪🏼
