Es ist die bisher faszinierendste Reise meines Lebens, auch wenn es Abschnitte gab, die ich nicht erwartet hätte. So eine Schwangerschaft ist definitiv eine Achterbahn der Gefühle 🎢
Dass ich überhaupt ein Baby gebären würde, hätte ich aufgrund meiner Endometriose und nur noch einem Eierstock nicht wirklich für möglich gehalten.

Today we hit the 39 weeks. We have good days and really bad days, that’s not a secret.. Especially if you have to fight this pregnancy alone. But this made us stronger and I’m already so proud of you for being such a strong babygirl. It’s the most important thing to know that you are healthy and hopefully really happy in mommy’s belly 🙃together we will make through every situation in life 👩👧

Not going to lie...I miss Mombasa.
My dogs (my ❤️) and the few people there that cared for me, loved me genuinely and made it all worth the while.
Being pregnant makes me think the kind of impact a place or a person can have in your life and the distance from such wonderful place and people makes me sad because my little one won’t be able to fully experience and live the kind of life I did in Kenya or to experience the great kindness that was shown to me there. Hopefully one day when he’s old enough to understand he will see kenya for himself,the breath taking beauty that it has to offer and will get to meet the people who had a huge impact on my life that made me who I am today💛

It's always a privilege to be holding space for expectant and post natal mothers. I love it! I guess it's because I have seen and experienced how yoga beautifully supports women during a variety of transitions as she moves through pregnancy, birth and into parenting. It's an experience like no other. Through yoga and mindfulness practices women can learn to be-friend their body and mind, an opportunity to explore sensations, changes, emotions and thoughts and work with them as best they can , with compassion, to help prepare them for birthing and motherhood
Very much like anything in life, birthing and mothering can be unpredicatable. We are asked to work with our best intentions. It asks us to be in this very moment , to be present. When we allow ourselves to indulge in thinking and analysing of past and future and get stuck in the cylcle rumination and catastrophising, fear may take over. Fear based actions begin to surface in our interaction with the world around us. Yoga , and other mindfulness practices can help break the cycle of fear. An intentional mindful pause serves as a reset button. It allows us to take shift our mindset , and opens the door other possibilities. In a gentle, yet powerful way, it gives us an opportunity to connect to our deepest selves and the subtle strength we have within
This is the heart of Mindful Birth. A program that @jeanbyrnephd started over a decade ago. It's a yoga teacher training, an education program for birth educators and expectant mothers. Our hope is to spread the tools and research that can help support women during this transformational time in life
I will be teaching Mindful Birth Child birth Preparation Workshop on the 2nd of February at Yoganic (Sydney, North Shore). It is open to all pregnant mamas and her support person. Prepare for birth from a holistic and research based program that has helped many for over a decade.
