Imagine yourself having one of the most powerful experiences of your life, rocking your body and your mind. 🌟
Where would you most like to ride that out and feel all of that power most
Naked, in the bright fluorescent lights of your hospital room, with the nurses you just met a few hours ago milling around you
Or silently tucked away, with the lights off, soft glow of (fake) candles surrounding you, with the sounds and sensations of the warm shower washing over your back
Sometimes, having some time to escape from the overwhelm and all of the sensory overload is purely ...
🌀magical🌀 in labor. It gives you privacy, makes you feel less vulnerable, more safe (think primal: out in the open on display vs camouflaged or safely hidden inside some structure) and secure. 🌟
It’s a fabulous tool to reset, focus, and come back to your “zone” to help labor continue onward and move you closer to meeting your baby 💖
Did you have a “hideaway” moment, or even enjoy just being alone in the bathroom to pee during labor Share with us! 👇🏼

Here's a picture of my little darling, asleep at the breast while breastfeeding. So many sites online recommend not letting the baby fall asleep at the breast. Make sure you wake the baby up to put him/her in her bed so he/she can then learn to fall asleep.
I'm sorry, just going to put it out there. I know I only have 1 baby and she's only 6 months old for me to being giving advice but babies grow up so fast and now she wants to sleep on her own when she's tired. At merely 6 months!! You can't overspoil a baby. You can't hold the baby too much. Babies will sleep on their own. It's all about having a perfect balance. Giving them independent time to play when they're awake. Holding them when you need to. It all comes down to personality too.
Adults are all different. What makes it true that one rule applies to all #babies 🤨

I’ve been trying to stay more active this pregnancy, which doesn’t mean any crazy extravagant workouts but rather at least a walk a day. When you live in the PNW, that means bundling up & braving the gloom. At least little man is prepared with the poop bags☔️
While posting on social media is something I feel obligated to do in our digital world to build my coaching practice, running workshops and working one-on-one with clients is where I feel most passionate. I am so excited that I will be doing my first ever workshop this Saturday to fundraise for an organization I am proud to support. Hopewell is the local eating disorder centre in my area and I will be running a 50 minute workshop on body image. THIS right here is why I am sharing on social media- for opportunities to spread a message of kindness to our bodies. ⠀
I was asked to provide a quote for promo for this workshop and this is my guiding star. Our bodies are our vessels in this world. No matter what we think of them, they are what we are gifted. While we might be able to change some parts of them, we should always do that with kindness and love. The past year and half has taught me what incredible feats our body can accomplish. From creating a new life to growing it and feeding it, I am in awe in the wonderment of all it has accomplished. Intuitive eating and exercise practices that are gentle and kind continue to sustain me through all the changes and have allowed me to enjoy my pregnancy and postpartum journeys with love and respect. I’m looking forward to continuing to share these with you in the coming weeks and months. BUT if you are in the area Saturday and want to check out my workshop, I would be more than humbled. Let me know if you want more details through a DM. ⠀

Day 9 of 25: Drink hot chocolate by the Christmas Tree! “Not too hot. EXTRA chocolate. Shaken, not stirred.”🎄☕️.
We kicked off tonight’s activity by heading over to Goodwill in search of the PERFECT Christmas mugs + we found some cuties! And then what better way to spend the evening than snuggling up in jammies + sipping on the best hot cocoa by the tree! <-perfect idea for a date night or fun time with friends, btw!
Nights like tonight make me super thankful for our Advent Calendar + all of the joy it brings. Tonight is our only night together this week, almost every night is booked. But having fun activities to do every evening helps us to really set aside time to connect + be together.
Next year, life will be even crazier as we welcome our little one into our lives. But it warms my heart to know that even during the busiest of seasons, we will always focus on taking time to just laugh + be together! 🎄✨♥️🤰🏼 #booecrew #babybooe #25daysofcheer #abooekuuchristmas
