So grateful for Dr. King’s impact on our country. This is one of my favorite quotes by him, and is actually painted near my home in ATL on the Randolph St. bridge right over the Freedom Park Trail: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can.” Here’s to brighter days with more love and light. 🙏
One single tree can provide a habitat for a extensively diverse range of creatures and plants. They provide us with enormous amounts of oxygen, and reduce the carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and sulphur polloutants by absorbing. They help to clean our water ways as well as provide us with wicked food, strong matrials to build our homes and medicine for the ill. These quite guys seem to be the most important resource on the planet . Yet we continue to destroy and exploite this beautiful element. But without them. Where as good as gone. Speak up for our kind tree friends as they struggle to be heard amoungst the kaos of greed... In addressing huge environmental issues it is easy to become angry or apathetic, to blame and rail against the “them” but who asks themselves what THEY can really do differently Who takes personal responsibility and treats their own body as they would like to see the Earth and the environment
It is easy to understand the anger directed outward is only the anger that each of us has toward our own individual daily compromise of what we know is right and healthy. Each of us creates waste and daily contributes to these mass problems. Our frustration is in our LACK OF IMPETUS to change not in our INABILITY to change.
To change our habits requires commitment and concrete choices to no longer participate in waste, ignorance and damage. It means refusing to pollute our own bodies with chemicals and smoke, to honor water and vibration, to take your reusable bottle, silverware and bowl everywhere you go, to realize there is no “away” where you throw things, it is all just our own back yard. The good news is there are plenty of solutions available.
This world is not a prison meant to be trashed and escaped, this world is a gorgeous playground meant to be honored and sung to. We are here by design, each of us has a karmic task to complete. Lets make our own best choices before pointing any fingers."
