happy monday! starting the week on a very productive note and have been working all morning! ☀️
Currently at 157 as of my check in last week and I am happy with where my body is at! Coach and I will be doing a "mock prep" just to see how my body preps, which I am excited about!
Am i competing this year Nah, still waiting on 2020 to make sure I have enough time to grow a big more and give me time to have a slow and steady prep. With my sister's wedding and personal trips I have planned, I want to be able to enjoy those with the people i love most :) My last prep was 10 weeks and i am so excited to just have enough time to fully bring a bomb package!
Can't wait to show y'all the journey of a mock prep and just us collecting data! For now, we still training intensely and keeping nutrition on point! 🙌🏻
Week 4 of the #strengthandcontrol #canditolinearprogram. Workouts are getting pretty rough. I was taking between 3-6min rest between sets. I was dripping sweat before I finished squats. Hopes are still bothering me. I rolled my lower body last night and did some active stretching before squatting. My hips really didn’t like the bottom of the squat on set 1. It got better after that, but still uncomfortable. I could see my balance was a little shaky on the ascent on my first 2 sets, so in set 3 you can see me rock forward and back on my feet, finding my center of balance. Ive been researching and trying anything to alleviate/prevent my hip discomfort. I stretch after every workout. I take Epsom salt baths on Tuesdays. Body weight lunges for a great quad and glute activation!! These might seem easy but when done correctly . Slow and controlled. It burns so bad. Keep your back straight dont lean forward and every lunge should be a 90 degree angle . This is only my opinion everyone has their way of right and wrong but this is my right for lunges .

My early morning shenanigans led to a decent leg workout.
Wanted to hit some back squats but my shoulder wouldn’t allow me to get under the bar.
So I tried front squats for the first time ever!
Totally different beast.
Also was able to complete my lunges with the 50lbs dumbbells!
Love all this progress.
