What better way to start the week than with a booty workout 🍑
These exercises work really well if you slow down, control the movement, & focus on the muscles being utilized.
1. Bulgarian Split Squats w/ resistance:
Can be done w/ or w/o weights. Back foot is elevated on a Bosu ball/step/bench. As you go up and down keep your weight on your front heel. Use a slow tempo & focus on using your glute muscles. The band is an added bonus for constant resistance throughout the entire movement.
2. Resistance Band Hammy Curls:
Strap those ankles in or wrap the band around your ankle. Lie on your stomach & slowly curl you feet in towards your butt. As you curl slightly lift your hips up. While driving your feet towards your butt, focus your energy on your hamstrings (back of your legs) & squeeze/hold at the top. Slowly straighten your legs & repeat.
Do each exercise 15-20 times 4x through.
