Morning routines that kick start my day.⁣⁣

1. I always make my bed. There is nothing like slipping into made sheets at bed time. ⁣⁣
2. Be present with my kids while they eat their breakfast and I drink my coffee. We talk about our day, dreams from the night before, and general stuff. ⁣⁣
4. If it’s a kindy day I make their lunches and get them ready. If not, they play with their toys. ⁣⁣
5. I make my breakfast, and eat it mindfully. Not looking at my phone or anything else. I enjoy every bite, reminding myself to chew slowly, because I have the time as I’ve gotten up early. ⁣⁣
6. Once breakfast is finished I begin to write down the ideas I’ve had, my plan for the day, what -needs- to be done, what -could- be done if I have the time. Also, any recipes that have popped into my head and my general feelings about the day. I find the feelings part important for self reflection at the end of the day. ⁣⁣
6. I finally look at my phone and respond to emails, messages etc. ⁣⁣

I’ve been doing this most days since the start of the year - I’ve found starting the morning with less screen time really beneficial at reducing stress. It also gives me a sense of clarity with what I need to do in my day and how I’m going to manage it. ⁣⁣

On a side note - I found this recipe book @kaisercraft and I’m in love! Perfect for jotting down recipe ideas or reviewed recipes that I’ve loved or tweaked a little. ⁣⁣

Colazione al bar post prelievo con flauto e latte caldo 😍

Un pranzo ormai richiestissimo che fa parte quasi sempre del menu settimanale.. Ovvero orecchiette fresche con verza, pancetta e Philadelphia.. Non credevo nemmeno io risultasse davvero buono, saporito e gustosissimo.

Semplicemente soffriggere in olio la pancetta, toglierla, aggiungere la verza tagliata a pezzi (se necessario aggiungere acqua) e cuocerla.. Appena è cotta aggiungere la pancetta, amalgamare con la Philadelfia e il gioco è fatto poco fit lo so ma ci sta coccolarsi 😍
E per cena una pizza insalata, gamberetti e salsa rosa in compagnia di amici. 🤗

Spring mix topped with avocado, edamame, seasoned mushrooms, tomatoes, chickpeas, cucumber, hard boiled eggs, green onions, and a chateau vinaigrette dressing. 
Hit every nutritional component: healthy fats, carbs, vitamins, minerals 👍 so feeling very gut healthy 😁

Inspiration of the day: 
Yes it’s cliché, but you really do get out of it what you make of it. If you can only think negative thoughts, your day is going to have negative results. It’s hard to feel truly negative about something when you smile! (Try it). So just remember to be thankful and appreciate little things that happen in your day, whether that’s a good friend you unexpectedly see that you don’t see often or even a half smile a stranger gives you when they walk by. Be grateful of your health and all the abilities you have that not everyone can obtain. Be grateful God gave you another day on this earth to be the person He made you to be. Positive thoughts will result in a positive day🌞

Gevulde paprika"s Tuna Melt
Super lekker en zo klaar!!!! 4 rode paprika's
2 rode uien
150 gram Cheddar kaas
320 gram tonijnstukken in olijfolie
200 gram koelverse bloemkoolrijst

Verwarm de oven voor op 180 °C. Halveer de paprika’s in de lengte. Verwijder de zaadlijsten en leg met de open kant naar boven op een met bakpapier beklede bakplaat. Snipper de uien. Rasp de cheddar. Laat de tonijn uitlekken maar bewaar 1 el olie (per 4 personen). Meng de bloemkoolrijst met de tonijn, de olie van de tonijn, ui, 50 g cheddar (per 4 personen), peper en eventueel zout.

Vul de paprika’s met het tonijnmengsel. Verdeel er de rest van de cheddar over. Bak de paprika’s in het midden van de voorverwarmde oven in 15 min. gaar

Want an easy way to get your kids to eat more veggies? Put out a big veggie tray an hour or two before dinner and tell them it’s the only thing available to eat until dinner.

I’m always surprised at what my kids will eat when it’s prepared and placed before them. Are they gonna go to the fridge and pull out raw veggies on their own? Probably not. But with an appetizing tray of veggies and dip right in front of them on the table, they snack away!

To make my favorite ranch dip, combine:
1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 Tbs @hidden.valley powdered ranch mix

I like it mixed just like that, but you can make it smooth with an immersion blender or regular blender if your kids will shy away from chunks. Plain Greek yogurt is another base they works well with powdered ranch, but my fave is the above mix.

To make my favorite ranch dip, combine: 1 cup cottage cheese 1/2 cup sour cream 1 Tbs @hidden.valley powdered ranch mix I like it mixed just like that, but you can make it smooth with an immersion blender or regular blender if your kids will shy away from chunks. Plain Greek yogurt is another base they works well with powdered ranch, but my fave is the above mix. Have you tried putting a veggie tray out for your kids I’d love to hear how it went for you!

What you need: 1 cup (1 small, peeled sweet potato) baked/boiled, 1 c. Gf Oatmeal, 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder, 1-2 scoops collagen powder(optional!), 1 banana, 1 tbsp. Cinnamon, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1/4 tsp sea salt, 1/3 c. pyure stevia blend, 1+ cup of unsweetened almond milk/water, 2 eggs, 2 tbsp cacao nibs (optional topping). .

What to do: put ALL ingredients (except eggs) in a strong blender (I use a @vitamix ). When all is blended, then add in eggs (do not over blend!). Pour batter into an 8x8 glass/pyrex dish. Sprinkle on cacao nibs/nuts. Bake on 350 for 20-25 min. Store up to 5 days in the refrigerator! #enjoy 🖤
