❌MAKE TIME FOR YOUR RECOVERY❌
Each week I ask my clients to rate themselves out of 10 on training, nutrition, sleep and recovery. As a whole recovery or stretching is always the lowest across the board.
You need to think of it is as not just recovery but a performance booster and injury reduction. If you don’t pay attention to it, you will get an injury and then you can’t train at all.
Even just spending 15-20 minutes at night after dinner whilst you are probably just watching some tv or scrolling on your phone. You will notice the difference, maybe not immediately but you will.
You will be able to move better, recover quicker and train harder, it’s a win win 👌
Here’s a hot tip.
The cause of poor body image is not that “only certain women’s bodies are of value” because of being a size or shape... it is that women’s bodies are valued MORE than women THEMSELVES today. I looked at myself in the mirror today and said, I like you. Not my body, but my whole self XO
This is the first time I’ve had service in a couple weeks. I’m currently studying abroad and just got to my first stop in Poland 🇵🇱 I’m surprised by the amount of vegan options I’ve seen around town and hope that trend continues 🤞 This is a vegetable coconut milk curry that cost about $5 USD which is way cheaper than it would be back home🙌
◾️Mimics the effect of exercise on the body – increased mitochondria and macrophages activity increases the energy output of muscles creating oxidative muscle without actual exercise. Due to this increase in muscle activity more calories are being burnt instead of converting to fat for storage.
◾️Increases stamina and endurance – increased glucose oxidation in skeletal muscle allows the body to go faster and longer with a higher level of strength and stamina.
◾️Lower cholesterol – studies in mice have shown a decrease in LDL cholesterol while HDL cholesterol was not effected.
◾️Decrease inflammation – SR-9009 plays a role in regulating the circadian rhythm which in turn will help boost the body’s immune response which may result in reduced inflammation.
◾️Increase wakefulness and energy – as Rev-Erbα affects the circadian rhythm, studies with mice have shown that they were awake for longer and had energy spikes throughout the day. This could be useful for shift workers or those who like to have more control over their sleep patterns.
Interestingly it’s been rather challenging to find a nutrient beginning with J with sufficient evidence to support health. Some foods start with the letter J; however, this aims of this A-Z is to educate and provide information to you for your value. I’m not one to make suggestions without at least some evidence, however, since I cannot find anything considerable to discuss, therefore I am going to present a study related to Jasmine Oil.
An article publishes in the Journal of Health Research in 2014 looked at the effect of Jasmine oil inhalation on brainwave activities and emotions. The study was conducted at Kanchanabhishek Institute of Medical and Public Health Technology in Thailand. The research found that by inhaling jasmine oil, the beta wave power (13-30 Hz) was increased in the anterior centre as well as the left posterior region of the brain. On the one hand, the positive emotions, including the feeling of well-being, active, fresh, and romantic, have been increased by jasmine oil. On the other hand, the negative emotions, for example, the feeling of tiredness were significantly decreased.
It could be suggested from these results that jasmine oil has stimulatory effects on the function of the nervous system. Interestingly, it could be concluded from this study that inhalation of jasmine oil affected brain wave activities and mood states
I do think that the essential oil marketing here in Australia may exaggerate the benefits to sell products, especially if they are sold through an MLM scheme, nonetheless, while I am skeptical of this research conducted, I am a person who is open to learning, open to experience and will not negate possible benefits when they are delivered. One study does not mean 100% truth. It was a small study performed on only 20 individuals, and their comparison was almond oil meaning the study was weak.
Do you use essential oils such a Jasmine, do you think they affect you
