For all those who think my grip sucks, because i deadlift in straps often, you are mistaken. Did a few passes with 217lbs and 247lbs each hand. I attempted to go heavier(307), but that just wasnt happening today 😅. Todays session was secondary bench day so started it off with flat DB bench 150sx3(stability issue) then backed down to 130x3x6&100x12 paused DB bench. First time ive ever tried the 150s and i thought id of gotten more, but ehh it gives me another thing to better myself in. Since it was secondary bench it was a high volume day so the rest ended up being CG bench 275x3x8, Paused high incline DB bench 4x10, DB skullcrushers 4x8-12, Banded tricep pushdowns 1x30/2x20, a bunch of farmers carries to work on my bitch mits(+cardio bonus), and weighted planks to wrap it up for 1x30sec and 1x60sec using @thejig_isup5 as a weight(thanks man). @platform_ready :the shirt adds +50lbs to my farmers carries.

The only person you should ever be in competition with is yourself (in my opinion).

The ability to CELEBRATE the success of others without feeling jealous or that you don't measure up is something many people overlook and it makes them fucking miserable.

I have a ton of people (bodybuilders and in other areas of life) that are much more successful than me that I look up to, but I no longer measure myself against them.

As long as I beat the guy I was last week, month, year, decade... I'm moving in the right direction. And I can confidently say that the dude on the right is more physically and mentally developed & mature than the guy on the left.

There are always things I can do better and ways I can optimise my methods. But it's a long old process and putting yourself down every 5 minutes because someone else has achieved more than you is insanity.

Look up to people and be inspired, but don't let your self esteem be dictated by other people's progress. It really is "You versus you" (sorry if that's cringey AF).

I had to think on this verse for a few ... as to what it really means. We all get angry, we all get upset... the key is to be aware of what is causing it and to not take action when we are angry.

If you’re angry at your significant other... calm down, or talk about it! Don’t take it out on them and say something you may end up regretting because you are in the heat of anger. If you’re upset at your boss, co-worker, friend... understand why you are... but don’t lash out while angry... don’t be aggressive... don’t sin anger... the Devil is ALWAYS trying to push our buttons... and destroy strong relationships... especially amongst Christians... friends, family, etc... we are all stronger TOGETHER in Christ than we are isolated. The Devil knows that, and will and does strike out against us.

Buddha did say it pretty good “you won’t be punished for your anger, you will be punished BY your anger” - Anger is toxic, damaging and destructive to the person holding it... don’t hurt yourself further because someone else hurt you. I'm unboxing all of these weights like it's #Christmas! I think the movers make have been telling the truth when they said I have more weights than the local gyms. And to think I got rid of about 300 pounds of Olympic weights before heading out this way.

The dude using the punching bag sounded obnoxiously loud in the recording so you get music 🤷‍♂️. Satisfied again with the session. All these training sessions tell me one thing, I need to revise my peaking method for next meet and have it 6-8 weeks instead of five seeing as i didnt hit my peak strength until two weeks later it seems. Still made huge leaps in strength with the five week i did. However it did not bring out all of my potential and that wont do. This workout was pauses ascending +20lbs ea set and dropping a rep. Top sets were 605x3/625x2/645x1. If im being honest here all my reps looked like trash except for my top set of 645x1. Need to revise my warmups. My dumbass didnt do any pause reps until i got to my work sets. Smart move teddy. Ohh and if youre wondering about the ending, my right glute cramped up after i locked out 645. Ouchy. After the main work i wanted to do some defict work+bands, but my left hip was feeling off so i ended up doing snatch grip conventional rack pulls 3x6. Pretty rough on the back if you keep constant tension by never stopping at the bottom and instead hover above the catchers

My schedule is crazy this quarter. I'm in school 6 days a week, sundays are for errands/cleaning, and I work (thankfully from home). 🤷‍♀️ Staying on task isn't easy, but I am trying! I like to plan my schedule day by day (a little at a time is how I always get things done). I also prefer writing stuff down, because it sticks better that way. How do you keep track of your schedule?
