Love a bit of repurposing! Old fishing tackle box/ stool bought from @bondslifestyle today ( another bargain!) which I’m going to use as my sewing kit to house all my vintage trimmings! ‘Seat’ will be recovered as a bit damaged and needs girlifying ! #repurpose #sewingkit #fishing
Have an old crib mattress Make it into a reading nook for your growing child! My kids both love to sit and read on their new “couch” #reading #repurpose #budget #bigboys
Fertilize your garden naturally with compost tea. Thank you @thebradleyaustin for making it and Chris for spreading it. Even better that he uses repurposed containers he picked up for free. The ratty old, hail storm beaten watering can still gets the job done too.
Compost tea is a liquid produced by extracting beneficial microorganisms (microbes)bacteria, fungi, protozoa, nematodes, and micro arthropodsfrom compost using a brewing process. A true compost tea contains all of the organisms that were present in the compost before brewing. The brewed water extract should also have soluble nutrients from the compost (Old Farmer's Almanac). This is the first year I've used compost tea and I've definitely noticed a difference. I've always used my compost, but had never brewed the tea. There's plenty of tutorials online if you want to check it out. Happy gardening! 🌱🐛🐝🐞🌻

Another great pick this week: a pair of tall clock case heads. Not sure yet what these are going to be; maybe a pair of cool wall sconces Cases for a watch collection
What’s on your workbench
as you may have seen on my stories lately i’ve been doing some painting this summer...
if you were or are apart of greek life you’ll know that there’s A LOT of painting involved! there’s a lot of tradition depending where you are for painting canvases& other decorations to pass on to your little
but if each girl in every sorority buys & paints a brand new canvas every year, a lot of STUFF that might eventually end up being trash accumulates. for my big little reveal this year I ended up with TONS of canvases that I really had no where to put! (dont get me wrong- i’m super grateful i have such awesome friends who would do this for me!)
but this year instead of buying new stuff, I dug up whatever art supplies my sister and I had, and decided to repaint some older canvases to pass on!! Didn’t have to buy anything new, and I tried to make them fairly simple so they would go in anyone’s room...and hopefully these canvases will get passed on for a long time, and people won’t have to keep making so many new ones every year! I also had so many i’ll probably be able to share some with other people to pass on as well! reuse and repurpose whatever you can, wherever you can! Even in college. even in a sorority!😊
We took the hutch of my childhood desk (you can still see the pochocco stickers) and turned it into a bookshelf for Zeke! It worked out so perfectly! Now his books have a home (and not in piles on the floor) that is the perfect height for him, and we saved one more thing from being thrown away (my parents gave away the desk portion).
Rise & shine little light beams. May your bright nature reach confidently outside of your safe container, aligned with purpose & intentions. May you project clarity & grace, and reflect rainbows & beauty in return. #penetratelife #courageously #vibrant #purejoy
🌿 Resilience 🌿
you are always stronger than you think!! 🌿
One of the difficult decisions we had to make this year was to move. To leave behind the house we had so patiently and lovingly renovated in the two previous years. With a purpose as our fuel. But things beyond our grasp made that we had no other choice but to move. And we did within two weeks. It was a miracle we found a place that fast. 🌿
But I was devastated. We were. We not only lost our house, but so much more. The kids were so angry and sad. And I was tired. More than tired. I was exhausted. I couldn't muster the energy to make our new house our home. Not again. We had no furniture, only two beds (and 5 people), no wardrobes etc. and no money. I felt hopeless 🌿
But with time, days of crying, being angry, doing nothing, not forcing ourselves to 'be' anything else than what we felt, praying, slowly something changed. The house slowly began to feel as our home, because wé were slowly becoming ourselves again. And we got creative again. With our limited recources. We've always loved secondhand and that came in handy. We built a home again with lots of free stuff and secondhand items.🌿
One of the challenges was the attic. Our bedroom, but also our office, storage (camoingstuff etc) and wardobe. And we only had a bed. So I looked through pages of free stuff on online market places and a new idea was born: a big wall of free or almost free cabinets. 🌿
One day they will all be painted one colour. And the bookcase will have doors. And we need 2 more little cabinets to finish the wall. But it may take a while, I'm still so unbelievably tired. But to have a home again, feels so nice ☺️🌿

I rescued 4 bertoia chairs from the dumpster and dragged them up to #wistaria to retire in the country, unbelievable, they are practically brand new! #recycle #repurpose WI⭐️IA
This is one of my most favorite vintage scores... it’s an old library card catalog (these use to be my BFF’s when I was little)
It was a big tall piece and my dad was able to half it and encase it to build a buffet for our dining room. It houses our cloth napkins, place mats and most of our wine (so it’s still my BFF 😏)
Finding old pieces (especially ones that have meaning) and turning them into a useful piece of furniture in my house now is my most favorite thing❤️.... there are few furniture pieces in our home that we don’t build or repurpose. 1. The furniture is typically made better. 2. It’s cheaper 3. The thrill of the hunt is one of my favorite things. 4. I love the look of older stuff ❤️
What’s your favorite Craigslist list, thrift store, hand me down score
Next up we have the #REUSE and #REPURPOSING of all the packaging in our workplace.
Finding another way to use something before it's destroyed is better for the planet than recycling because it takes less energy and fewer resources to give it another life, which is why it's higher on the Waste Hierarchy Pyramid.
A Circular Economy means we need to start designing with Reuse in mind, especially when it comes to packaging, and manufacturers need to take responsibility for all the materials they're putting out into the world.
We also need to find ways to move materials on to someone who will be able to use them or turn them into something useful!
Where might this work in your business
