Another resin stuff from my stories post. While sick I decided to do a fair few experiments, many of which didn't work out but oh well. I've found that resin stuff is nice to do while sick because it doesn't require much movement. #resin #resinart #resinjewelry
“There should be no boundaries to human endeavor. We are all different. However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. While there’s life, there is hope.” – Stephen Hawking, The Theory of Everything
A detail shot of the resin piece I poured 2 posts before. 💙💙💙 It was so pretty but the pigments pretty much all sank into the black and there wasn't much blue left the next morning. Did that happen to you before #blue #artfail
This piece may be small, but when I look at it, my heart is incredibly full.
I am so proud of myself for finally taking the plunge to attempt things that were terribly scary for me. Working with hard woods, and working with epoxy.
This is my first ever charcuterie board, and certainly not my last.
Some of the things I have learned while doing this...
Seal the back even, that stuff will leak through even the tiniest pin hole,
take your time time when drawing the shape of the board, it’s okay if you use up a whole big eraser. And don’t be scared to make a mistake. No one is perfect, and it’s okay if your piece has a few flaws. It’s all a learning curve and practice makes near perfect.
I used @ecopxy and the color is sea foam and finished with @osmocanada
