So after a run on March 10 I decided to set a goal of running 30 miles for the rest of the month. Then in my head “don’t be weak you can do more “ set the goal to 36 miles ( at the time setting the goal I was thinking that the near 3.5 miles I’d just run would count towards the goal and too keep the goal light since I haven’t been running a whole lot recently). Well the Runkeeper app didn’t do it that way and started the goal on the next run 3/17 a week later 😂 . But regardless the goal said the there were 3.2 miles left yesterday and when I went to double check earlier today the goal was no longer in the app 🤯 so I said fuck imma run anyway, went out N got in a breezy 4.5 miles. After a nice stretch we sat and tallied the miles from the 10th of this month. And realized we’d crushed that shit over 49 miles. Now we’re setting a 60 mile goal for April running roughly every other day! ✌️💚🏃

Over here trying to distance myself, but suddenly the trail which used to always be empty is full of 7462947294 people and I’m trying not to lose my mind. 😑
Thanks to everyone that saw my latest great discovery a rare cinnamon black bear (Ursinus americanus) found in the woodlands of Pennsylvania! It is the smallest, but most common of all the three bear species found in the #usa! Although their common name is black bear, they can be black, blonde, white (albino), brown (cinnamon) or even a grey-blue color! They are excellent at climbing trees and great swimmers! They can run 24-31 mph which isn’t nearly as fast as a #vizsla clocking 40 mph, but it’s still impressive! There are an estimated 300,000 black bears in the US excluding Alaska although in just Alaska alone there may be as many as 100,000 to 200,000! If you see one, keep your distance, they are smart and curious and do indeed love picnic baskets! @bears.for.you is a great place to learn more and get involved in bear conservation!
