Here’s a drawing of one of my favorite art supplies a gelly roll!!
There are so many artists on Instagram that are such better artists than me. Sometimes it's hard to draw when I know I'm so inexperienced compared to them but if I keep drawing and learning maybe I'll be like them.
I have been brainstorming on things I can draw in the summer since I'll have a lot of free time on my hands.
I'm sure I'll have a lot of new drawings that progressively get better this year. Let's hope! :)
Yup, I’m a notebook hoarder and I collect them faster than I can fill them 😂 But I don’t have a notebook with black paper, so today I decided to create one to put inside of my traveler’s notebook! I stapled black cardstock together, then trimmed it to size with an exacto knife. Any ideas for what I should use this for (besides writing relatable stationery blurbs) Fellow notebook hoarders, what do you use all of your notebooks for

Any zine makers out there I’m so proud of our #afterschoolsteamla students for the zine they created in our STEAMzine class! No one realized how well this collaborative effort would come together, including myself and @junecleaverish . It took some time for the kids to wrap their head around being a contributor in a mini magazine but once they figured out their topic they worked to make their submission shine! Check out our stories for a flip through of the book and thank you to @sakuraofamerica for the pens they used to create this magic! #creativekids #stemeducation #steameducation #teachersofinstagram #zines #sakuraofamerica
“Broken, But Still Growing” - this is a piece I’ve really been thinking about doing for a couple of months. I feel like it kind of symbolizes my journey through life. Without going into details, I’ve had a lot of bad experiences in my childhood that have affected me growing up & becoming the adult I am today. In life the main thing I’ve learned is that I have to be able to count on myself to pick myself up & put the pieces back together and continue to learn & grow as a person & to not let my past experiences define my present or determine my future. In the end, the one person I’m stuck with is myself & I need to learn to be at home in my own mind before I can have any impact on any other area of my life & that’s something I’ve been working on for the last few years. Every day I look forward to making an effort to be a better and happier person & I think that’s something everyone should aspire to. No matter what happens, pick yourself up & keep growing. -
Materials used: @prismacolor premier colored pencils, @sakuraofamerica Gellyroll & micron pens, I’m honestly not sure what kind of paper because I just picked up a piece I had lying around in my desk, but it’s got decent tooth
Fun fact: the plants in this piece are ghost plants, a type of (in my opinion) very pretty succulent! Obviously I took some liberties, but as I’ve been growing a ghost plant in my room for about two years it was bound to show up in my artwork sooner or later.
