“Poke bread bowl”- 7/10! An immense amount of fresh grade a tuna inside a flavorful bread bowl. Tossed with avocado and ponzu sauce. Topped with seaweed. Man oh man was this good. New twist on the trending poke bowls. Everything tied together, but the reason I gave it a 7/10 was due to the fact that once all tuna is gone the soggy insides of the bread bowl didn’t have a great flavor with ponzu sauce. But overall I recommend this restaurant without a doubt.
Amazing the color you can achieve when blanching many types of green vegetation when done correctly. This is a perfect example while blanching seaweed that our fresh lobsters were packed in. #noedit #nofilter #nofilterneeded
#pokebowl DIY. wow. I am so excited to enjoy this bowl. #tuna cost$9.00
#sproutedbrownrice #seaweedsalad #tobiko and other ingredients make the taste all come together. Delicious. I say less than $20. For high quality poke bowl. Should add some eggs though to give it colors and sweetness. Next time.
The Pilipino food culture was definitely one of my favorites and is so hard to sum up in just one word. The cuisine is predominantly Spanish-based but has Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian and Thai influences.

fresh prawns, seaweed salad marinated in rice vinegar, roasted adobo pork & chicken, pancit noodles with citrus and steamed peppers.
A lot of the dishes I sampled had a strong combination of sour, sweet, salty and spicy which is a real treat for the palette. Rice and noodles is served with almost every meal, fish and meat stews, roasted pork, fish and chicken seasoned with adobo or chile spices, soups made with peanut and coconut bases, grilled vegetables and seaweed commonly seasoned with coconut or rice vinegar and an assortment of fresh seafood such as crab or prawns.
Another thing that I had to acclimate too was the lack of knife cutlery that they eat their meals with. Every Filipino person I saw eating didn’t rely on a knife to cut their meat and instead of eating their dishes with just a fork or just a spoon, they used both utensils simultaneously to consume their meals, which trust me is a lot harder then it looks!
I’ll never forget this culinary experience, I’ve never tasted seafood or sushi so fresh in my life and the combination of different flavors in every dish always surprised and pleased my taste buds. If you haven’t tried Filipino food then please give it a whirl, I can promise that you won’t be disappointed with all the flavor it has to offer. •

this looks like a bowl of slime and it technically is 😆 (it’s #seaweedsalad ☺️)
🔺Salmon & Tuna, Ponzu Sauce, and all toppings except ginger
Food from todays workshop Seaweeds & mushrooms with @svenskgourmetsvamp They goes very well together. Pic no 1 is a salad with sweet kombu (Saccharina latissima). It is boiled and the dried. By doing so you get a wonderful texture and no slime. The other two is tapenade with seaweed and mushrooms, no three is a spread with seaweed and mushrooms.

Half a #thunderRoll #salmonSashimi and a #seaweedsalad...seems so simple....For the places Mr. Komoto has been and the sacrifices he’s made, its humbling to know that this is one of the things that makes him happy! We like to think when Mr. Komoto walks into #CasaOinari he sees his sacrifices were not wasted...He hears the music...He sees the Art...He feels the vibes. He knows his once,”looked down upon” culture is being represented...It’s being introduced and accepted. But make no mistake, he knows we’re doing it our way 😝 .... We always notice him give this sly little grin 😏as we serve him his meal. Scoping out our tattoos and crazy hair and clothes and giving us his nod of approval. He knows we take advantage of the Freedoms #heroes like himself have afforded us...Doing it when we want, How we want, the way we want! He knows that we are free thinkers and doers! He knows we bet on ourselves! He knows that we strive to do right by every person who walks through those doors and all the others we will open! Knows that we know we couldn’t do it without #heroes like himself! That’s the biggest thing.
Domo arigatou gozaimasu!
Thanks @ladulcevita for taking care of Mr. Komoto and for helping us all be a part of something bigger!
