When I think about the kind of women I admire and respect, it becomes apparent that at some points in their lives, they have all been considered “Too Much” by some people. Too different, too loud, too angry, too counter culture, too oppositional, too in your face, too provocative, too honest. They sometimes make people wriggle in their seats, scratch their heads uncomfortably, think things they avoid thinking and feel things they avoid feeling. These women do not blend, people please and settle for less than they are. These women are the catalysts for change and evolution. They are the voices for all women, and I am grateful that they never let society cow them into silence and obscurity, because you can be certain that people tried.

It took me a while to find my balance in this new/old frequency, but I’m back with my workouts. After almost 30 hours traveling, it’s been challenging trying to rest my mind and body. I’m grateful for my beautiful support system, and lessons from my amazing fitness trainer @christina_kushkush that have kept me focused. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

After seeing all these ten year transformations, I’m realizing I’m overall really proud of myself for the past two years. I’ve cleaned up my act/mental health, lost weight, replaced it with muscle, grown spiritually, excelled at eating right, built a few small businesses, found peace and acceptance within, altered my state of mind, and worked hard at maintaining all of this🤘🏼
Going plant based is a lifestyle choice, not just a fad diet. Once changing my diet to be healthier, everything else around me started to alter to a higher state of wellbeing. I’ve walked away from bad habits, negative thoughts and toxic people. I love the community I surround myself with and I’m SO happy with where I’m at but my next step is to leave the toxic environment I live in, so that’s exactly what I’m doing. New chapter!
Just when I thought I’ve reached my best self, I’ve opened up space to grow even more. I can’t wait for what the future holds and I’m so excited to move forward and leave this negativity behind. I’m only goin up from here! •

Sometimes we get so twisted up that we don’t recognize ourselves and we feel it’s impossible to move forward. No matter how hard we try. This is how I’ve felt for a few days, but then last night I chilled by the fire, pit down the phone, and told Alexa to play my favorite songs. It took a while to get in touch with me, but turning off distractions—including those in my head—yielded delicious fruit! Its been almost 5 month I've been practicing body movement or dance with consciouss/awareness of the feeling with the state im in. I find that this is one of the emotional alchemy methods in healing that works for me as an emotional excerises or self therapy method.
i believe there are wisdom in all the dark emotion that come in its own phases. I find it is importance to check and balance not just things outside but also internally.
I dance not to for entertainment but as a method of moving the energy through and not let this dark emotion be stagnant inside me and left me fell hopeless .... there are also time these emotions makes me feel too overwhelm and i jest need to flow and let it out through body language.
its important for me to find ways to see in the dark, to find ways to maintain awareness between chaos and turbulence that most of the times try to self sabotage. I remind myself... it is important to master the art of staying awake of its presence as this dark energy moves through suffering... and through self awareness we will see that the darkness has its own light.
Sometimes i feel life is depressing when we know whats happening with the world we live in. Just seeing photos of deforestration for example left me feel hopeless and have no hope for future. i get drain and burn out just having these thoughts. I was inspire earlier today just watching @goldenawakening ig stories as she shared her thought on her healing process and journey.
I guess by me sharing my process, maybe might give other option in finding methods of healing that suits us. i believe... as we heal ourselves... we gently heal others.

I almost didn’t post this, it’s my workout from last night and I found myself picking myself to pieces and feeling ashamed of how far backwards I’ve let go and how much it shows.
SO fluffy and struggling with the extra pounds I’m packing around.
The cycle is vicious and I’ve been there too many times before.
NOT THIS TIME, this time is different, it has to be.
I may be back to square one, but this time I have the tools and knowledge of learning from failing forward.
I wanted to quit SO many times and tears filled my eyes looking at my reflection, but I didn’t.
I showed up, took a ton of breaks, modified a lot and pushed hard where I could.
The past me would’ve been pissed for not keeping up and the current version of me started down that path again.
Instead of continuing to beat myself of mentally I literally had to stop and think.
Think about those who can’t do this at all.
Those that are too scared and don’t know where to start.
Those that feel overwhelmed and ashamed.
Those who need a reminder that you are AMAZING right where you are.
I decided that no matter what, even if I went as slow as a slug I was going to finish.
I had to stop looking at my now and focus on what’s ahead of me.
4 days into this new program and I’m already changing.
Not necessarily my body (even though I’ve been seeing my arms muscles pop back out to play😜💪🏻) but my mind; shame, excuses & pain.
The one thing that seems to always ride shotgun.
Well guess what, I told their asses to move to the backseat and replaced them with BELIEF.
Belief in me and getting back to being strong inside and out.
Slow and steady is where I’m starting.
So, if you’re feeling any or all of these negative feelings, know I’m fighting the same battle with you.
I’m scared, slightly embarrassed and that’s okay.
Time to fight the fear and do what I know brings out my best self and that includes a being kind to myself along this journey we call life.❤️ @shaunt

Burnout can happen not just with our jobs but in life. If you read the buzzfeed article I shared a few weeks ago,millennials have been dubbed the “burnout generation.” And I feel this so hard core.
One of the main reasons we have become burned out is because of technology. We are constantly bombarded with information- ads, social media, news... everything is available to us at all times and we are now learning how it is negatively impacting 🤯our mental health.
In winter ⛄️especially, this is heightened as there is less light, people spend more time inside and this more time indoors and you guessed it, on technology.
Though for most of us, tech is not something we can just 🙅🏼♀️shun, there are things you can do to help!
Here are five things I’ve been doing to help fight burnout for myself!
1. Turning off notification is a game changer. We do not need to be constantly bombarded with someone’s else’s data. I don’t need social media notifications or shopping 🛍notifications and neither do you!
2. This has transformed my sleeping habits (anyone else have a history of insomnia 🙋🏼♀️)and helped me be more productive in the mornings since I don’t spend so much time scrolling.
3. People do not need to be in touch with you 24/7. If someone really needs you, tell them to call. Set boundaries for how much time you spend on your phone and social media.
4. My SO and I have been banning phones on our date nights 💑and it’s been amazing. I am also a huge fan of taking social media breaks or even leaving your phone off. I did this around the holidays and it was amazing.
5. Exercise is a great way to get out of your head and into the present moment. Bonus points for exercising without technology! No Apple watches for me! May I recommend a yoga class

As some of you may know I have decided to create this account to show my weight loss journey and to keep me accountable.
I have tried and failed so many different programs in the past. Some of those programs include weight watchers, gym memberships, counting macros, weighting food, counting calories and south beach.
Today I feel the best I have in a very long time both mentally and physically. I’m working out consistently, I’m logging and monitoring my food intake.
I’m working on personal development each and everyday and I can’t express enough how that is helping me to grow.
I have decided to take on the role of being a coach for a couple of reasons.
First reason is it keeps me accountable.
The second is because I know how it is to feel to be so low both mentally and physically and I want to help other stand back on their feet. I can give women hope and the tools to change their lives. 💕
