✍🏻When I started working with Poscas, I decided to keep all the used pens as a residual timeline of my work and the hours I’ve spent leading up to this point. A. because I’m a horder and B. because I was curious about what that would amount too. Each one of these pens has contributed to creating my work over the past 2 (and a bit) years. It’s been a solid trip so far and this rainbow documents all the Posca pens I’ve gone through since I began working in this medium. Sometimes one can forget the volume of how much one does overtime. This rainbow is a reminder that baby steps add up to big leaps. I hope you have your rainbow as a reminder of how far you’ve come and where you are going!

This is a drawing from two years ago, when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to draw. For the past two years I've been going through a lot of things, things that are reflected in my art. I've always been concerned about the way people see me and what they think of me. People always ask me why I draw myself so much. The truth is, drawing myself is a desperate attempt of mine to see myself as a different person. Like it's not actually me. It has been like some kind of therapy from which I came out of stronger and wiser. I finally accept who I am and feel ready to show the world what I've been working on. That's why I am throwing an exhibition. I'm ready to leave this chapter of my life behind and move on. Start drawing something new and different. A year ago I wouldn't even show my drawings to my best friends, because I was afraid that I was the only one that found them beautiful. And now, a year later, I'm proudly sharing my art with everyone and I'm about to exhibit my work and expose myself to the world. I want to thank everyone for the support and for nearly a thousand followers. It really means a lot. I hope to see you at the exhibition ❤️
