Sorry for the wrinkles but this was in yesterday’s paper highlighting the hard (and mostly unappreciated) work of good reporters. Thank you @annkillion for the impactful article in the paper. Had to send kudos (it’s a quick read even for my short attention span). #Sfchronicle #goodwork
Stumbled upon this gem of a snack bar @bodegasf in North Beach: quaint selection of wines including some juicy natty picks from @idlewildwines and @broccellars and sweep you off your taste buds bites like sweet potato tacos and za'atar spiced lamb meatballs over thick labneh decked in fresh dill, mint and sumac 😍 🥂🌮🍠 #eaterSF

Tomato. You snuck up on me. Growing up, was not a fan. Bland, too seedy, only liked you in Ragu jars. ;-) And then one day, POW! And thus, a relationship was born. Today’s offering from #frontporchfarms at the #marinfarmersmarket at the Marin Civic center. Ended the day with another winner from the #sfchronicle Sunday food section: Summer Tomato Salad with Toasted Naan. Here’s to dreaming of what to do with the remaining halves!
Over the moon to be featured in the @sfchronicle in print this Sunday morning, August 12! Check out today’s Travel section—or click the link in my profile to read the digital version. The article highlights the #slofarmersmarketcookbook AND I contributed a bit of writing, too! Pinching myself!
@GeneralStorePaso: “The one-stop shop for unique gifts and local provisions for the epicurean in your life. They carry an extensive collection of cookbooks, picnic blankets, cocktail mixers, cooking oils, spice blends, kitchen linens, wooden spoons, sheep’s milk ice cream sandwiches — every item in this shop sparks joy, including the women behind the counter.” @GrowNursery: “A retail plant nursery tucked away in the sleepy downtown of Cambria, truly a hidden gem. They specialize in rare and unusual succulents, handmade pottery thrown by local potters on the Central Coast, breathtaking mineral specimens and a wide variety of air plants.” @FishGaucho: “You have two opportunities to cash in on happy hour at Fish Gaucho: 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and every night 9 to close. Enjoy the lively atmosphere and epic food portions, paired with their incredible craft margaritas and flights of Tequila or mezcal (over 140 to choose from).” @TheHatchRotisserie: “Wet your whistle with these original seasonally driven cocktails mixed up by their award-winning mixologist, Robin Wolf. Every cocktail ingredient is carefully considered: from atypical fresh squeezed juices (carrots, kiwis, cherries) to her own handcrafted bitters with culinary combos like rose and pink peppercorn, or grapefruit and habanero chile.” @EmberRestaurant: “When a Chez Panisse alum opens up their own restaurant, you know it’s going to be a success. Chef-owner Brian Collins serves Italian-inspired, seasonally driven, wood-fired food five nights a week, dinner only, no reservations. It’s absolutely worth the wait.” @RutizFarms: “There is always something fun happening at this adorable farm stand: U-pick berries and flowers, summer corn roasts and wood-fired pizza featuring fresh produce. A salt-of-the-earth crew supplies many of the top-notch farm-to-table restaurants in SLO County and Los Angeles, too"
Spending my last Sunday in San Francisco and last day as a ripe 32 perusing the fragrant bounty that is California at the Civic Plaza farmer's market- very affordable, varied and delicious seasonal produce here! 🍑🥗 #califresh #leoseason
