How did I get to 6.5k subs on YouTube with 0 editing skills is beyond me. Wanted to put today’s set vs the first ever time I did this machine side by side (having a 25 and a 10 per side and failing on the 11th rep) but obvs I fucked it all up so ➡️ and you’ll see how pathetically weak that was. Whats up guys! We are building boulder shoulders today with “Dumbbell Lateral Raises” -
* Grab a pair of dumbbells and stand up straight.
-
* Slightly bend your knees and bend slightly forward.
-
* Lift the weight with a slight bend to your elbows making sure your elbows reach your shoulders.
-
* You want to try to twist your hands slightly backwards to hit your lateral head even more
-
* Hold for a second then slowly bring the dumbbells down.
-
* Repeat this process for the rep range.
-
I go for 4 sets of 15-20 Reps. I like using relatively light weights so I don’t sway my body too much and fully use my lateral head.
Try not hitting the dumbbells to your thighs so you don’t get a bounce for an easy rep.

In the video you can see what I mean by slight bend backwards with your hands.

Well today was one of those days. Nothing felt good. But, I am a real believer that the days where we feel crap and still get it done are the ones that really matter. So today I had a weight pb in mind, I wanted one as I’ve not got a weight pb in so many months. 
Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t happy with this rep, it was ugly and awful and I made it harder than it should have been. But I bloody got it. So here’s my log pb of 135kg.

This picture is to remind myself how far I've come. First picture was taken around 2012-2013, back when I started doing weightlifting. I came from doing track and field, long distance events and hated it but stayed because I was "good". Made the switch to weightlifting and the rest is history. Second picture was taken one week after my first show, when I was probably at my absolute best to date yet. There is a 30-40lb difference in both pictures and like you can see, most of it is muscle. Weight training change my life and sometimes I'm not conscious about it. This Prep is testing me mentally 100% my progress is soo much slower compared to last year but no prep is gonna be the same and life gets in the way. This year a few things went against me having to get teeth out, hurting my back which is still giving me grief 😣 but I'm consistently putting in the work sticking to the macros and praying it all falls into place in the end!!
But yeah mentally it's a struggle but I'm not giving up I'm gonna give it my all to the very end 💪 being on my time of the month is not helping with the emotions 😓☹ but just have keep focused and keep going x This girl got goals and she gonna fight for them 💪💟
