This is your dare for the day...I dare you to wear floral crown on your head and see if you don't feel like a princess!👸🏻 I think I might just wear one around the house today and see if doesn't make cleaning a bit more regal. Which by the way, it seems like all my friends are in cleaning and de-cluttering mode. Isn't it crazy how your house takes a hit during those busy seasons like the last 4 months! I'm personally hitting one room at a time right now. What book or system do you like to use for organizing your home And yea, don't forget to wear a flower crown. DM me your picture!

Bergala Family Farms is the creation of our family's love for small farm and homegrown life living. We started off on this dream as a homestead and hobby farm in April 2011 and now has grown into the small family farm it is today.
Bergala Family Farms is about sharing our family’s journey to greater health, freedom and security that a homesteading lifestyle can provide.
We are excited to share our family homestead with you: from raising chickens and ducks to our newest addition Bear-our lab/rottweiler mix. We also share gardening tips, cooking traditional foods, and the everyday challenges of having a small farm.
We also sell fresh organic eggs to the locals. Contact Us for more info.
So if you are interested in what is happening around here on our farm and homestead, you should definitely check back often.
Thanks for stopping by!

Sun and Smoke, Sierra Foothills, California || One evening last November I headed to the foothills to photograph the sun fighting its way to the horizon, battling smoke from the Camp Fire that razed Paradise, California. Watching the sun completely devoured by the soupy atmosphere before it reached the horizon, I thought about the number of airborne particles it must take to completely erase the sun, and the millions of Northern Californians who breathed this air for weeks. Sadly, with unchecked, human-induced climate change, sunsets like this have become all too common in California. Of course Californians are not the only ones suffering the consequences of climate change, but I fear that by the time those with the power to do something about it finally decide our children’s and grandchildren’s tomorrows are more important than today’s profits, the tipping point will be behind us. #garyhartworkshops
Not a bad window view to wake up to 🖼 Our next Amble session this spring provides full access to the tranquil and remote 300-acre Martin Wildlife Preserve, night and day for a full one month sabbatical! Learn more, link in bio
Who would have thought that a Cab Franc from a warm place like #SierraFoothills would have such a light touch! This #wine is from a high altitude, cooler vineyard. Earthy with dark fruit and dried oregano or something like that)! Light tannin, low-ish alcohol (12.5%), great acid with no green pepper, which is common in less ripe Cab Franc. It was awesome with homemade #pizza! I love @andiswines - participant in our DC #undergroundwineevents last year!! #shopsmall #smallwineproducersrule
These are my the newest additions to my growing vessel collection. And can I just say that I love vessels almost as much I love the flowers themselves!! In every store, while combing through Instagram, creating mood boards, they catch my attention every time! They really are the beautiful shoes with the perfect outfit. 😀. Terre Rouge, Vin Gris d'Amador Sierra Foothills 2016
What could be better to inject a bit of colour in a pretty dreary winter day than a California Rosé We're miles away from the white Zin' that pops in one's mind when thinking about those two words together. This here is all about well-extracted concentration and fear not; it's dry. Terre Rouge earned a spot on my Christmas table with their Rhône-style GSM, and this feels like a Rosé that was made with the same idea in mind. It predominates in Grenache and Mourvèdre, with Roussanne and Grenache Blanc as well. The nose exudes dried orange peel, allspice and ripe raspberry. It's a bigboy of a Rosé, it has a subtle bitterness that accentuates its character, and just enough acidity to maintain that fresh impression. It's not cheap for a Rosé, but I'd say it's worth every penny of its pricetag. 🇺🇸 🍊 🍓

We are very excited about some of our recent ratings from @wineenthusiast magazine! This one is from the December 2018 issue. Finally, Amador County and the Sierra Foothills in general are getting some love from the critics!
