🍁 Dream Collaboration | Day19 #Marchmeetthemaker
🤔 There are so many to consider. I think it would be lovely to have reproductions of my drawings being printed for a nature society, a antique car market, on t-shirts or stationary something like that. *
It would be awesome to have a company want to gift my hand made notebooks to their clients or for a special retreat, I would like to make special and unique orders.
I think I could go on and on...it is fun to dream.
🍁 Mistake or Lesson | Day 18 #Marchmeetthemaker
I had a difficult time with this one. I’m learning every day, that’s what I love about what I do. Don’t get me wrong, I have had many lessons along the way, you could call them mistakes I don’t see them like that. *
💭I have a tremendous amount of ideas swimming around my head at any given time, not all come to fruition but they are building blocks, a place to start. Many don’t work the way I see them in my mind but how else do we learn We have to spill a little paint, cut a few fingers, break some pencils. 📒My notebooks are hours and hours of tearing paper @strathmoreart different sizes, experimenting with colours for covers, seeing what will work.
🍁 What I’m Working On | Day 17 #Marchmeetthemaker
I always have many projects on the go at once but today it’s hand drawn coloured pencil monograms on watercolour paper and assembling a stack of Grow Notes notebooks.
Preparation has begun for the Richmond Village Art Show coming up May 4th in which I will have all my notebooks, drawings and handmade cards.
a snapshot of my sketches for a holiday card design for @csufofficial this past season // being an artist allows me to take the jumbled thoughts bouncing around in my head and quiet them down by putting them on paper. I enjoy the power of making something out of nothing 🖤 @curaoc #500followersgiveaway 🖤
🍁 Workspace | Day16 #Marchmeetthemaker
I was reluctant to post a photo of my studio but hey, it’s how I work. I’m seeing so many beautiful workspaces, tidy workspaces...sorry, that’s not me. I like stuff, I have lots of stuff, I use lots of stuff and I have many surfaces and zones in which I work. *
Occasionally I will tidy and I like the way it looks but with many ongoing projects I can stop 🛑 and then pick right up where I left off when I have everything out and at hand. So I post unapologetically. 🙃
🍁 Motivation/Goals | Day 15 #Marchmeetthemaker
When drawing I get most of my inspiration from nature. 🍂 I love to watch the minute, study the details, enjoy the simplicity. It’s the things that go un-noticed that we are so used to seeing in our everyday. *
Goals I hope to keep doing what I’m doing...I love what I do! Draw, make notebooks, paint signs, repeat.
