When I got pregnant, I was shook. I was a vegetarian millwright who strength trained, and I had no idea what to do being pregnant.
I started eating meat because I was SO sick that I thought it was because that was the only thing I wasn’t eating. Fast forward three months in, I finally see a doctor (we lived in Toronto at the time), and I was told I have #hyperemesisgravidarum which many women suffer from. I stopped eating meat, took the medication that made me sleep and basically lived off of soup for a long time. In the end, I had gained 70 pounds and went from 115lbs to 185 give or take.
I just ate alllllllll the time. I had a healthy girl so I’m happy for the experience, but when we do it again I’m gonna try to be a little healthier (and lay off the chips and chocolate 😂 Sorry Mila Lol).
Anywho, I still have reminders like loose skin and stretch marks (and a weird bellybutton) but I’m proud of my body for gaining the strength back that I lost. That was so important to me as a millwright, as a tradesperson who relies on strength and stamina for work.
My favourite workout: being a Mom and also cleaning after a dog and a cat. Lol! My Mom always used to tell me that cleaning was her gym and I totally understand why she was so tiny and our house was so clean. I aim for the same!
Happy weekend to all the mamas and everyone else on this fine spring day. Sun is coming through!

With styles rapidly evolving, keeping up with and staying ahead of it while preserving nature makes all the difference.

Time to introduce you to Kona, a five-year-old lab that is truly the best job-site four legged friend anyone would love to have around.
If you have the opportunity to meet Kona, the first thing she will do is greet you with a smile and wagging tail. Kona will wipe her feet at the door, protect the work van and let you know when it’s lunchtime. She loves to be on the job site and has been since day one.
BTW! Her favorite treats are anything fishy and if you ask her just say please she will.. 🐾
Content is a repost. Hope you enjoyed for a second time
Have a great weekend everyone!
When installing hardwood a ”floor jack” is so helpful. I first saw this from @86_construction_contracting. Saves so much time and makes installs so much easier.
200A service upgrade we completed yesterday in East Gwillimbury. Once Hydro One disconnected, we removed the 100Amp meter base and fuse panel. @kylepmcculloch worked his magic relocating the existing circuits and wiring the new 200A Siemens 40/80 CCT panel. At the same time the 200A meter, conduits and feeders were all upgraded.
