Messier 29 (M29) is an open cluster located in the constellation Cygnus, the Swan. The cluster lies at an approximate distance of 4,000 light years from Earth. Without the dust of the Milky Way obscuring the cluster, the stars in M29 would appear about 1,000 times brighter. The cluster’s light is blocked by the material that was around when the stars were still forming.

This glittering ball of stars is a globular cluster lying toward the center of the Large Magellanic Cloud — one of our closest cosmic neighbors. Seen by the Hubble Space Telescope (@NASAHubble), it hosts an extremely rich population of star clusters making it an ideal laboratory for investigating star formation.
Discovered in November 1834 by British astronomer John Herschel, NGC 1898 has been scrutinized numerous times by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope. Today we know that globular clusters are some of the oldest known objects in the universe and that they are relics of the first epochs of galaxy formation. While we already have a pretty good picture on the globular clusters of the Milky Way — still with many unanswered questions — our studies on globular clusters in nearby dwarf galaxies just started. The observations of NGC 1898 will help to determine whether their properties are similar to the ones found in the Milky Way, or if they have different features, due to being in a different cosmic environment.

NASA, internet sitesinden yaptığı paylaşımda yeni bir pulsara ait bilgiler paylaştı. Dünya'dan 19 bin ışık yılı uzaklıkta yer alan pulsar, çok yoğun olan bir yıldızın süpernova olduktan sonraki hali.
Yapılan ilk değerlendirmelere göre, keşfedilen pulsar Samanyolu Galaksisi içindeki en genç pulsar. Pulsarlar genellikle süpernova sonrası meydana gelen nötron yıldızlarının nabız gibi atıyor gibi görünenlerine verilen ad. Bu noktada kelime olarak pulsar "kalp gibi atan" anlamına gelmektedir.
Kes 75 ismi verilen pulsar, 2000 yılından bu yana izleniyor. 2000, 2006, 2009, 2016 ve 2018 yılında elde edilen verilerle pulsarın yaşadığı değişim tespit edildi. Elde edilen bilgiler The Astrophysical Journal'da yayımlandı.
Belki de "amatör uzay meraklıları" olarak bilmemiz gereken Kes 75'in Samanyolu içindeki en genç pulsar olması. .

Hubble Space Telescope captured a stunning image of perhaps one of the most intriguing objects in our Milky Way galaxy: a massive star trapped inside a bubble. Object NGC 7635, better known as the Bubble Nebula, is located about 7,100 light-years away in the Cassiopeia constellation.
Its star burns a million times brighter than our sun and produces powerful gaseous outflows called stellar winds that howl at more than four million miles per hour.
Over time, the winds have pushed nearby gas and dust outward, forming a layer around the star that’s denser in some areas than others. Based on the rate the star is expending energy, scientists estimate in 10 to 20 million years it will explode as a supernova.

This is a glory on Venus. Similar to a rainbow, it occurs when the observer (in this case Venus Express) sits between a reflective surface and the sun. Venus Express saw this one in 2011, on the cloudtops of Venus, spanning 1200km. .
On Earth, sometimes you can see a glory around the shadow of an airplane if conditions are right. I'll put some examples in my story.
It's a reminder that nature loves spectrums and that the beauty in our world comes from diversity, whether that's in wavelengths of light or people. Appreciate it and all of the people on this rare gem of a planet.
