Developing an ability to deal with the things that come our way is a lot like developing physical balance and strength. Sometimes it will come more naturally than others, and it will take practise over a period of time.

What's key is that it's not just about persevering. Repetition with bad form will not strengthen but rather develop/aggravate a weakness or problem; pushing through will only compound the issue.

Feeling very Naturopathic this week, surrounded by all these divine liquid herbs! 🌿🌿🌿

I’m not gonna lie, most days I wake up feeling like poo. I’m achey, my head hurts, my jaw is tense, my ears are ringing, I feel low in my mood and I just want to curl back up in bed. Whilst I’m not waking up very often with full blown migraines anymore (YAY), my body is still struggling and is working extra hard to heal. Having extra rest has been really key to my recovery, but also having a routine and pushing myself to get up in the mornings continues to greatly help me on this healing journey. Over the years I’ve taken a few yoga classes but mostly learned from YouTube (also Qigong!!) and I’ve come up with my own funky mix of movement which I haven’t come up with a name for yet 😂🙈 these videos aren’t really supposed to be tutorials because there’s no voice over but I hope that you can watch and be inspired to move your body in ways you may never thought of. For me, the music is key because I flow TO the sounds and vibrations, essentially I’m just free-styling. If you practice enough and find music that really lights you up, you’ll be a freestyle pro in no time! If this inspired you, please tell me in the comments below, I love to read them. Ein Teil von mir würde seine Zeit ja viel lieber auf dem Meditationskissen als in der Küche am Herd zubringen, aber was ich lernen durfte ist, dass ich nur dann eine gute Verbindung zu meiner Essenz aufbauen kann, wenn ich zuerst tief in meinem Körper lande und seine Bedürfnisse gut erfüllen kann.

Zeg jij wel eens JA op iets waarvan je later denkt? Sh*t dat wil ik eigenlijk helemaal niet?

Pleasen. Iets wat ik mezelf veel heb zien doen in m’n leven en nog steeds wel eens bij mezelf kan herkennen. Ook bij mijn coachees is het een veel voorkomend thema. Waarom?

De ander niet teleur willen stellen. Angst voor afwijzing. FOMO. Bang om er niet meer bij te horen. Bang dat het egoïstisch is. Wat zullen anderen wel niet denken? Door iedereen aardig gevonden te willen worden. Confrontaties te mijden. Of het kan ook zijn dat je überhaupt moeite hebt met het herkennen van je eigen behoefte.

De vraag: Wat wil ik nou eigenlijk? Wat wil ik echt? En mag mijn behoefte er evenveel zijn als die van de ander? Daarmee bedoel ik wiens behoefte laat jij zwaarder wegen: die van jezelf of van de ander?

Ook herken ik dit pleasegedrag regelmatig bij mensen met stressklachten. Dit gold ook destijds voor mezelf. Want als al JOUW energie naar ANDEREN gaat, wie zorgt er dan voor jou? Precies dat is eigenlijk jouw taak!

Uiteraard is het oké om ja te zeggen tegen anderen, tegen het leven en om anderen te helpen. Alleen wil je dat ook ten koste van jezelf?

TIP 1
DUS zorg ervoor dat je voordat je JA zegt eerst even vertraagt en bij jezelf checkt of je dat ook echt wilt?

TIP 2
Meer tijd nodig? Parkeer je antwoord even zodat je iets langer de tijd voor jezelf hebt om te checken wat je wilt. Zeg gewoon dat je er nog op terug komt. Zo weet je zeker dat je straks ja zegt tegen de ander en ja tegen jezelf!

I mentioned before that my goal in fitness is not to beat myself up to reach a goal that will just stress me out, my goal is to enjoy every session of movement (whatever it is - gym, walks, volleyball, sprints, hiking, swimming etc.) i slimmed down as soon as I started letting go of stressing myself out and really putting the emphasis on what my body needs and wants in that moment. I don’t need to have big thighs, booty or sixpack in order to feel beautiful or to get into a relationship where a man finds me attractive or beautiful. All of my success and relationships were based on my personality, character and mindset, a healthy and strong body is just a bonus. A fitness tip that I would share with you is to be active as long as it doesn’t stress you out and the gym is just one little area of movement and sport (maybe you are not a gym person, maybe you are a groupsport person where you can interact within a community that pushes and motivates you where everyone strives for the same goal). Find out what doesn’t bring you stress but joy, and the moment is brings you stress, find something new and try out something different, because anything that stresses you out doesn’t bring you to your goal (whatever that is). Think about a competition. Think about the things that make you nervous. 
1. The quality of other riders & dancing partner.
2. Getting hurt.
3. The importance of the competition. 
4. The size of the crowd.
5. Who is watching you. 
6. How well will you ride.
7. The judge. 
8. Will you win or your percentage.
9. Pleasing your coach, family or friends. 
10. The feedback. 
11. The arena - indoor/outdoor/big in size. 
12. Dancing partner spooking. 
No doubt you have others to add. 
Whilst you may think the above is causing the competition nerves, in fact, they are not. It is not what is going on around you or external distractions which cause the nerves. It is what is going on inside you. 
Let's take making a mistake. You are worried you will not ride a straight flying change. The days, hours & minutes before the competition you will be thinking of all the times you have made an error in the flying change. You will be thinking you cannot ride it correctly. You will be thinking you will make an error. In the warm up you will be obsessed with riding a straight flying change and becoming more tense. It is what you are thinking causing the nerves. By the time you get into the test you are psychologically exhausted with no confidence left. 
Good news. If you can make yourself nervous you can make yourself calm. 
Start by becoming aware of how you approach a competition. How much thinking do you do about things you cannot control? How much do you wind yourself up thinking about what might happen? How often do you try to predict the outcome? What are your thoughts surrounding things that make you nervous?

EXT. Parents' home - Day The boy starts laughing about how much he's worrying in these weeks.

Lægen sagde: Du Skal sygemelde dig?

Jeg blev bange, fyldt op med frustrationer og en enormt sorg.

Hvad nu, hvor længe og det kan jeg da ikke??
Uvisheden var det værste, over ikke at vide hvornår og hvordan jeg kunne komme tilbage og passe mit arbejde, passe mine kontakt unge? 
Jeg følte mig så priviligeret, var så glad for mit arbejde og dem mig, så hvad var det jeg ikke kunne finde ud af?

Lægen sagde; Hvor længe har du brug for?? WHAT, jeg har ikke brug for en sygemelding, du må da kunne fikse mig?? Det kunne min læge ikke, vi aftalte 14 dage og så måtte vi se derfra.

Jeg startede op, efter 14 dage for så at blive sygemeldt igen efter 1 vagt 💔 ( jeg var sygemeldt i ca 1,5 år)

Min verden brød sammen, jeg græd ustanseligt, følte mig totalt mislykkes og når jeg kunne se ud af mine øjne søgte jeg og søgte på alt om stress.

Hvordan bliver rask NU??? Jeg ville tilbage til mit arbejde NU!

Jeg fandt en stress test, noget trafik lys, rød gul og grøn system. Jeg lå i toppen af det røde og kunne læse mig til at min hjerne, kunne have taget skade af det massive overload.

Jeg fik hjælp af terapeuter og en stress psykolog men intet hjalp💔. Jeg var på nippe til at opgive, men så blev jeg udredt og fik diagnosen ADHD. 
Yes det giver mening, nu må jeg da kunne komme tilbage?

Medicinen hjalp på min energi og mit enorme behov for at sove, jeg fik en helt alm døgnrytme, men jeg følte mig stadig bange? 
Bange for ikke helt at vide hvad jeg gjorde forkert, hvorfor jeg tiltede så voldsomt med stress og sker det nu igen når jeg starter op??? Jeg vil ikke svigte mit arbejde igen, som på dette tidspunkt har fyret mig, men hvad med mit nye arbejde?? Er jeg HELT klar?? Spørgsmålende var mange dengang og ingen af dem blev besvaret før jeg lærte, at have tillid til mig selv. Tillid til at jeg kunne passe på mig ude i arbejde igen. FIK RO💚

Tillid til at følte jeg mig presset, kunne jeg håndtere det, også hvis jeg blev bange.

Jeg lærte at styre mine tanker, mine følelser så de ikke hele tiden var i alarmberedskab.

Jeg lærte Mindfulness og følte jeg fik vinger igen.

I’m not gonna lie, most days I wake up feeling like poo. I’m achey, my head hurts, my jaw is tense, my ears are ringing, I feel low in my mood and I just want to curl back up in bed. Whilst I’m not waking up very often with full blown migraines anymore (YAY), my body is still struggling and is working extra hard to heal. Having extra rest has been really key to my recovery, but also having a routine and pushing myself to get up in the mornings continues to greatly help me on this healing journey. Čak i predivna, osunčana jutra za one sa Hašimotom mogu biti  jako sumorna i teška. Buđenje sa umorom, trnjenje u stopalima, malaksalost i pospanost otežavaju samu pripremu za posao, dok je boravak na poslu čista agonija.
U ovakvom stanju čak i posao za radnim stolom predstavlja veliki napor, tako da se duboko poklanjam svim ženama koje rade aktivnije i fizički napornije poslove sa svim svojim simptomima.
Verujem vam i razumem vas potpuno, jer sam i sama bila na tom istom mestu.
Radila sam uz tablete protiv bolova i nadala se da će osvanuti dan kada me ništa neće boleti, iako je bilo malo izgleda da će se to zaista dogoditi.
Nadanje mi svakako nije pomoglo, jer samo nadajući se nisam radila ništa konkretno, pa ni sami rezultati nisu mogli biti konkretni.
Promene su se dogodile tek onda kada sam, kroz edukaciju i samoprovere, počela da menjam ishranu. Prema onome kako se osećam nakon što jedem, zaključila sam šta mi prija, a šta ne. Pa sam se u skladu sa tim upravljala sve više ka bezglutenskoj ishrani, a na kraju sam potpuno izbacila žitarice i mlečne proizvode.
Tek sa oslobađanjem svega što mi ne godi, počela sam da se budim odmorna, sveža i spremna za novi dan. Umesto boli, osećala sam rasterećenje. A umesto brige, na licu mi je lebdio osmeh - siguran znak obnovljene radosti prema življenju.

Your body starts the process of change from training but change only happens during REST.

Training more does not always turn into faster results. Unless you can recover from the workload

But resting is more than just not training. You need to make sure sleep is in check, you need to be eating sufficient calories that are micronutrient dense and you need manage your stress.

Sleep; getting between 6-8 hours of quality sleep per night. Going to sleep and waking up at the same time everyday to gain consistency. Sleep in a pitch black room, and making sure your room is cool and comfortable to enhance sleep quality

Calories; during a fat loss phase you could be potentially dropping calories through the weeks, but knowing when to take a diet break to support recovery is the key. Every 4 weeks you can make a judgement whether you feel you need extra calories. A sign you need to increase calories or take a diet break could be if feel unmotivated to train

Stress; add in meditation, stretching, deep nasal breathing to your daily routine to manage daily stressors. Best time to do these is post workout, before and after eating and before bed.

Hoeveel mega happy mensen, die bloeien in prachtige banen of eigen ondernemingen, ken jij? Mensen die zich vrij en blij voelen in hun werk? Ben je er zelf een? I hope so!

Ik zie er steeds meer en anderzijds zou ik ook heel graag meer van die mensen willen zien.

Mensen die durven kiezen zichzelf te zijn. In het werk wat bij ze past en van daaruit anderen helpen.

Er zijn gevangenissen gecreëerd in het arbeiders-systeem van 9.00-17.00 en tegelijkertijd in de file staan, omdat we om 9.00 uur er moeten zijn. Want wat zullen anderen wel niet denken of wat zal er gebeuren als we mensen meer zelf laten bepalen?

Dat je alleen maar de functie bent, maar niet de mens in zijn geheel.

Dat je geslacht nog steeds van invloed is op de hoogte van je salaris.

Wat een potentie laten we daarin liggen.

Angst gedachten.

Ja, het had een functie, het komt vanuit het verleden.

maar we leven NU en we kunnen NU anders kiezen in elk moment weer.

Ik zie mooie voorbeelden van jongeren die het anders doen, ander soort ondernemingen starten.

Onze systemen mogen verschuiven. Verandering is de constante ook hierin.
Het veranderd al wel, maar als voormalig hoofd P&O heb ik regelmatig ook gezien dat daadwerkelijk de regie en verantwoordelijkheid nemen om medewerkers vrij te laten zijn en in hun kracht te zetten lastig is.
Of andersom om die vrijheid en verantwoordelijkheid te pakken best lastig is.
Mezelf included. Mijn geloofssysteem er nog mee bedekt.

Toch kan het anders, leuker, vrolijker, als we in elkaar geloven, als we toestaan onszelf te zijn en de ander zichzelf mag zijn, toestaan dat we in onze kracht mogen staan.

Het is heerlijk om je vrij te voelen jezelf te zijn in je werk. Van daaruit ben je zoveel meer van betekenis.

Misschien wat zwart-wit. Maar het is om duidelijk te maken, dat er mensen zijn die verlangen om weer de verbinding met zichzelf aan te gaan en daar ruimte voor willen. Dat dat verlangen wellicht in jou zit en er mag zijn.
Zodat je van daar uit diepe verbindingen met anderen aan kan gaan om werk vanuit een vervuld gevoel te doend

Mensen willen groeien, daar heb ik de focus op.

Not for me, not for fear, for other people many of us suffer and have no where to turn. You see when I came to this conclusion I decided I want to help not for self gratitude, not for respect none of that.
