Which has of late been a rest day for me. Active rest and mobility that is. .
I focused on three stretches today. That I’ve been working on for sometime. .
There is great value in repetition. I think we spend far too much time in the fitness industry trying to constantly do something different. Repeating workouts. Repeating stretches. That’s where you see progress. Repetition is worth your time. .
I remember when my feet wouldn’t reach the ground in plow pose. I remember when my legs would not straighten. .
I remember when on this particular leg in death stretch I could not for the life of me get my hands to my knee. Now I can lift them over my head. .
And my splits are so freaking close to reaching the ground. From being a good foot away in September. .
It is said that most people have no idea how their body is meant to move. And no idea just how good their body is meant to feel. .
I don’t want to be most people. .
And I don’t want you to be either. .

💣Knowledge Bomb Wednesday💣
We're taking it back to a "bro" movement that is often seen with bodybuilders or people looking to build for aesthetics. The band (or cable) chest fly is a great way to not only work the pecs, but also stretches them at the same time; leading to an awesome pump!
1️⃣Adjust the height of band/cables (different heights will hit the pecs in different ways)
2️⃣Keep core engaged through entire movement. People often arch their backs during the stretch of the movement; KEEP IT TIGHT
3️⃣Think of pinching a pencil between your pecs to help build the muscle-mind connection
4️⃣At the top of the contraction; focus on squeezing your elbows together to fully engage the pecs

Flexibility: (noun) the quality of bending easily without breaking.
Not only from a physical standpoint, but in all areas of life, flexibility is the key to living a fulfilled life. The obstacles and triumphs we experience are not always planned. We curate our goals and design the path to reach those goals. However a significant amount of us disregard how unpredictable and unexpected life is and we set forth on a rigid and vigorous journey to accomplish our goals. Unfortunately when we face our first obstacle on this journey, panic sets in. We have to be willing to adapt to the obstacle I order to overcome it and prevail. It’s easier said than done but by modifying our approach, often times we modify our minds and from that we experience a growth that doesn’t compromise our goals. Success is a journey. Especially since we are often leaning forward to get a better look at our screens, it’s important that we make sure our necks stay moving and in working order. ...
The first exercise we have are some basic shoulder shrugs! Roll your shoulders making 5 circles in both directions to keep your shoulder blades loose and encourage good posture.
Swipe to see a couple of neck stretches. Turn your head like you are looking over your shoulder to feel a stretch in the transverse plane of motion. Hit the frontal plane of motion by tilting your ear toward your shoulder. Hold each stretch for 5 seconds and repeat 5 times on each side.
