Monster BUTT & HAMSTRINGS TRX workout lol😼👹🍑 Added this to my leg routine as a final burner (to sweat some more like a cardio) but guys I am in love with the TRX because you can literally have so much fun creating new exercises with it🤗 On the final clip i talked about how the TRX can be beneficial to your resistance training routine. Here is what I did to target glutes n hammies:
Lunges with hind leg lifts
Squat to side lunges

I hate working out in shorts.
I look down and see my legs jiggling. It distracts me from my workout. Yes I am working out for my own happiness and wellness...not to have Carrie Underwood legs. But...I have always been the most self conscious about my legs (thanks hockey player dad for giving me the big legs). And as much as I am trying to love my body, loving those legs is still something I struggle with.
But lifting heavy weights on leg day makes me feel strong. It reminds me that my legs are muscular (again, thanks Dad). Maybe they jiggle, but they can also hoist some heavy weights. Leg day for me is not about punishing my legs. It actually helps change my mindset about my legs. And it helps me to learn to love my body.
(And also Lululemon leggings are great cause they help me just ignore the jiggle). Yesterday was cardio day. And all I had was shorts. So I went with it. And tried to remind myself that my legs are strong. I reminded myself of how heavy I lifted and how far I have come. And I also said “fudge” a lot because cardio hard but my mom raised me to not say bad words.

Each move for 1 Minute, can be done with or without the step! I am seriously LOVING this 20 minute program and all the strength I have built in these last 8 weeks🙈💪🏼I have also noticed an increase in my flexibility, which I LOVE. Our bodies are our temples and they need to be strong & FUNCTIONAL❤️🧘♀️ Dedicating 20 minutes a day to ME & growing myself has honestly impacted every single aspect of my life🙌🏼💕👭.

Well today’s workout was hard but so awesome all at the same time!! Heavy leg day consists of...... Single leg press, Double leg press (pushed to 500 for 8 reps), squat with barbell (pushed to 185 for 3 reps), Rear leg kickbacks with cable, standing cable hamstring curls, and hex bar deadlifts (pushed it to 205 for 5 reps) - I am so happy that I have awesome knee sleeves from @ironbullstrength 👍🏻 They make a world of difference for me! I’m also grateful to have strong friends to spot me at the gym! Thank you @tmabe71 for encouraging me and spotting me. Hard work pays off!
Loving lunges and the multitude of ways it can be done at the moment - the benefits are endless & can be a useful transition to the floor. Always meet your body where it is at with a progression in your back pocket. A 90 degree angle at the front knee is a good place to start as it minimises the load to the knee joint but I’d look at mixing up the angles as you progress for variety & diversity in your movement practise.
