I haven’t pulled the trigger in which one, but have you ever ran a @spartanrace if so, what distance I want to hear about your experience.
I am grateful to have a mind that allows me to see the potential in myself.
This last week has been a harsh reminder & forced me to reflect on times when I didn’t.
I used to wake up heavy & numb. Instead of seeing the potential I had, I saw myself as a pain.
My teenage angst built up from past trauma didn’t help the situation, but at some points in my life I truly didn’t think I was worthwhile.
It breaks my heart & makes me so angry upon reflection on the pain I caused & could of caused those around me, from a desperate attempt to end my own.
The pain I was feeling; it was real. But it would be nothing compared to the pain my family, friends & those close to them would of experienced if my attempts at ending it were successful.
On those mornings I woke up so heavy, I never thought I would ever be able to wake up & feel light.
Yet here I am.
Shock horror, I was wrong. It was possible.
It’s a shitstorm to get through. You don’t just wake up & decide to be happy. It doesn’t work like that & I KNOW how frustrating hearing people say ‘can’t you just decide to be happy’ is. Like oh thanks Sharon, I didn’t think of that, wow I’m cured now!! You have to fake it. You have to start looking forward. You have to build structure. You have to plan. You have to make an environment that gives you the potential to feel happiness.
Lying in bed, not sleeping, social isolation & extreme restriction &/or binging on what gives you pleasure isn’t going to create that. So expect yourself to feel pain if you keep that up.
But if you slowly (or dramatically, I typically opt for the dramatic approach) build a environment that allows for you to build your confidence back up, that breaks your sadness cycle, then you’ll begin to have more days where you wake up feeling light.
What helped me
Loving & helping others. I would do anything to stop someone from experience what I was experiencing.
Creating a strong body & strong mind. The two go hand in hand for me. A strong body = a strong mind & vice versa.

I’m starting to slowly feel healthier physically & mentally than I have in a long time & honestly, that is probably the biggest win I’ve had in my fitness journey so far ☺️ I still have a ways to go but the feeling I have right now knowing that I am getting stronger is truly motivating & I’m proud of myself —

✅ leg press 4 x15
✅ hip thrusts 4 x 12
✅ cable pull through 3 x 15 (if you master these they are a good burn out!)
