Meski begitu program uji XB-70 terus dilakukan.

With refuelling required after 30 years, this nuclear-powered vessel is the US navies fast attack submarine. The Los-Angeles-class is also referred to as the 688 class, and still has the most active submarines per class despite just under half being retired. 62 have been completed, 30 have been stolen from active duty.
It has four 533mm torpedo tubes firing both long range, all-weather supersonic Tomahawk cruise missiles and over-the-horizon, anti-ship Harpoon missiles.
The Harpoon missile has a unit cost of $1.2 million and is submarine or surface launched. The Tomohawk has been updated recently with modern technology which allows it to remain competitive. Thus, it is still used today. It can transmit an image right before hitting the acquired target, via satellite communications. It allows the crew to determine accuracy, designate the target and assess possible damage.

This oceangoing torpedo boat didn't engage the Bulgarians or the Austro-Hungarians on the Danube in 1916, she was sunk by minefield laid by the Ottoman Magdeburg-class cruiser Midilli, off the mouth of the Danube on April 16th, 1917. • Extract from the book: Raymond Stănescu, Cristian Crăciunoiu, Marina română în primul război mondial, Editura Modelism, 2000, page 291 • copyright expired -------------------------------------------- At the end of the Battle of Turtucaia, on September 6th, 1918, the Royal Romanian Navy's river craft were the last to withdraw from the battle and the sector they defended was the last to be captured by the Bulgarians and Germans. The only Romanian warship to have suffered significant damage inflicted by the forces of the Central Powers was the river torpedo boat NMS Grigore Ion, she was sent to silence (10) enemy machine guns which were blocking the evacuation of Romanian troops. NMS Grigore Ion destroyed a few of them before withdrawing, having been struck by their fire killing half of her small crew. -------------------------------------------- The Romanian river monitors took part in the First Battle of Cobadin (September 17th - 19th, 1916), making an important impact to achieving the defensive Romanian-Russian victory. A consequence of this and previous actions at Turtucaia and elsewhere at the beginning of the Romanian Campaign, German Gen. Anton Ludwig Friedrich August von Mackensen decided to eliminate the Romanian Navy's river monitors. -------------------------------------------- Von Mackensen delegated seven German artillery officers, with guns of calibers ranging from 150 mm to 305 mm to attack and destroy those monitors. • #The🇷🇴RomanianNavyinWWIandWWII

Blowing up a rubber dinghy, wading through 2ft of slippery mud whilst trying not to fall over, getting the tide times wrong, finding out the access is locked for this Submarine then almost getting stranded on a jetty then driving home at 3am and the friend I was with not paying me back the money for petrol and the dinghy 3 months on made this night a long and frustrating but still fun one🛶😂
Off we went to the the bottom of the deep blue sea in a yellow submarine.. Yes a yellow submarine... Guests go down into the glass hull of the boat which resembles a submarine with awesome views of the ocean down below...and for those who scuba dive (not me) it was quite a treat... Surrounded by beautiful fish all around it was a stunningly marvelous sight...
