You see the fabric on the dress According to @onceuponachild.handmade, it is a traditional hand blocked Indian fabric.
I made a little research as I was very curious what hand blocked fabric is.
Woodblock printing on textiles is the process of printing patterns. Wooden blocks carved with intricate details used to manually print beautiful designs. It is the earliest, simplest and slowest of all methods of textile printing. It is carved onto the block by hand.
Amazing! So lucky I got a slot for this dress. It’s so meaningful, it will go straight to Isla’s forever box and hopefully she’ll be able to pass it on to the next generation. 🍂🧡 •

Did you know Nov. 15th is America Recycles Day⠀
Did you know that the average American throws away over 70lbs of clothing each year, and that goes right into our landfills ⠀
Do your part in reducing waste and donate them instead.⠀
Your donations not only help reduce landfill waste but also help support Arms of Hope, a non-profit Christian care organization that assists disadvantaged children and single mothers.⠀
You can bring your clothing, shoes, & household goods donations to any Texas Thrift location. Find a location near you by clicking the link in our bio.
What’s that! Can you taste it in the air That’s right my friend - the weekend. It is coming. I don’t know about you but I am welcoming it with open arms. We’ve had a bit of a manic week here at Kidamajig HQ (Glastonbury festival festival planning meeting, Snow Patrol gig, general life admin) and the weekend isn’t looking much calmer... in other news, we’ve finally relented and cracked out the winter duvet, so now I’m possibly the snuggliest warmest person in the whole of Somerset when it comes to bedtime! And these beautiful Tommy Hilfiger shorts are up on the store. I mean 😍 that tartan... Have a lovely weekend my super luminaries, whatever it has in store!
What a day, Ted has hardly slept, think he may be teething. Just enough time for a cuppa before the school run!
Of minder.” 👠 #quotefriday
