I get a lot of questions on what the heck an Old European Cut diamond is. As a very general definition, OEC diamonds will have a smaller table, broader pavilion cuts, a steeper crown, and a large cutlet. Within the diamond grading community, the answer can get really complicated, so I’ll just write what matters for those engagement ring hunting
A smaller table and large cutlet gives OEC diamonds the appearance of its signature floral pattern when looking top down. Shorter, fatter pavilion cuts will flash broader chunks of rainbow colors (fire) than modern brilliant cuts. A modern brilliant diamond will shine bright white with splintered patterning while the OEC will show off its pretty petals and in dimmer settings can become a firecracker of colors. With the steeper cut, an OEC comes with the potential trade off of higher light leakage and could also look smaller in diameter than its equal carat-weight modern brilliant counterpart.
However, every diamond is cut differently with individual proportion percentages, so my advice as always is choose what you like looking at! The 4 C’s are an excellent baseline for shoppers to brush up on, but they don’t always accurately define the beauty of individual diamonds. Happy Monday, everyone! I’m Ian, and I’m grateful that you’re here with us! We had a busy weekend, including a Saturday spent with these two lovebirds! We both went to UNC, so we were pumped when Carrie and Catherine wanted to do their engagement session there. But we were surprised to find that even after all of our time on campus, there are still some hidden gems waiting to be discovered, like this spot we happened across! I have to be h o n e s t - my entire life I have spent growing up with an Italian mother who devotes 2-3 hours a night to cooking a new meal. Every night I have been spoiled & easily took this for granted until I began working with people addressing their food lifestyle at home and learning their routines. As Americans, we yearn for convenience because now a days there is no time to just do one thing at a time. We are hooked into doing multiple things at once and this makes focusing on things such as cooking hearty meals a little difficult. Why spend time making homemade broth for example When you could just purchase 🍜 ramen
Going forth I am going to post recipes that I know my mother makes and things I make. All of which are weight management friendly.
☝🏼Often times when people come for weight loss to me I engrave into their heads that we simply need to make the “better” swap and that better swap does not have to be more difficult to use.

RAMEN vs HOMEMADE NOODLE SOUP
PRO:Ramen is convenient. Cooking isn’t.
WRONG - say to yourself if I take 20 minutes to prepare the soup and let it cook for 2 hours while I go do work I can make this just as convenient! & “better”.. BOOM 💥 you just made a weeks worth of soup (5-6 meals) and it only took you 20 minutes to prepare.
This dish above is an example of a simple fast side to make a meal healthier. Sautéed mushrooms and spinach with garlic and olive oil (salt and pepper to taste) want a littttttle more flavor Use a table spoon of smart balance and less olive oil & see for yourself how tasty that can be.
WHAT I DO WITH THIS -
Often times I take these cooked vegetables and put it on top of my baked chicken or BBQ grilled chicken breast, I sometimes add it to my @eatbanza pasta dish, I use it as a side to a lean sirloin steak or I mix the both and dice up salmon with it.
Took me 10 minutes to make the hardest part was chopping my mushrooms - newsflash, they come sold cut up.

When shopping, looking for items with minimal ingredients is 🔑 have you ever considered making your own homemade nut butter at home Follow me for these tips below 👇🏻Enjoy your new clean eating habits!
Use a high speed blender or food processor to make your own nut butter with any nut. Here’s a basic formula that typically yields 12 ounces of nut butter.
➖ 2 cups raw nuts + pinch of salt + 2 tablespoon coconut oil
ADD THESE CREATIVE MIXES FOR FLAVOR:
➖add 1tsp of instant coffee, unsweetened cocoa and sugar
➖ or add 2 Tb honey
➖ or add cinnamon + 1 teaspoon of sugar
➖ 2 ounces (1/4 cup) of dark chocolate chips
Who doesn’t like a healthy snack! Bananas with melted dark chocolate chips mixed with tofu!
Delicious and so simple to make. All you need is:
✔️3 bananas ✔️ 4 oz tofu and ✔️ 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips melted. I used to volunteer for the one and only Stacy Antine the owner of Healthy Barn USA.
