I just really miss Milky Way season and mountains
We have this preconceived notion that surrounding ourselves with an abundance of people and objects will guide us directly to bliss, or happiness. But what we so often forget is that by filling our lives with emptiness, will only diminish the great quality of life we all have potential of achieving.
It is seeking and surrounding yourself with those who build you up, enhance your spirit, and understand the value of independence; roaming free together and nourishing one another making each individual a better person.
Only then will a path be forged, unveiling true happiness. Rather than focusing on quantity, hone in to your inner self - and do solely what you know is best for you, and your psyche 🌙
Sometimes we catch glimpses. Not the whole picture, but a sense that something is slowly taking shape. Maybe it’s that first twinge of dissatisfaction in something that’s gotten too comfortable, or a wild idea that comes out of the blue and actually sticks, or a pull toward something we’ve always felt but never trusted ourselves to follow (yet). We keep collecting glimpses and trying every which way to see how they might fit together and create our bigger picture, but there’s still too much in the way, or not enough to really go on. So we strive to honor and live into the pieces we do have. We wait for the others, trusting that they will appear in their own time as we learn to keep looking in the best directions. Maybe there are clear skies ahead, maybe we learn to love the clouds too, and maybe we never even get the whole picture, but we see a lot of beautiful things along the way~ /// 📷: my little sis
Grateful for moments of looking up to see that my limited perspective pales in comparison to what is true and what is real.
Enjoying the view and contemplating world domination. #multitasking
One more shot from yesterday’s moody adventure. 🌲🌲🌲
A very good day at the boat.
Big Baby Jameson. The sweetest soul ever.
It snowed in the jungle today.
”I shall take the heart. For brains do not make one happy, and happiness is the best thing in the world.”
~ L. Frank Baum, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
Painting birds on old cigar boxes has become my mother-in-law Susan's specialty. They are so lovely!
I took a nap today, which I NEVER do and so of course, now I'm wide awake, planning the week and enjoying the quiet. Wallace Falls was rushing big time yesterday and after all the snow today, I bet it's beautifully crazy wild! How was your weekend
I bought some shoes online from a brand I've never worn. They fit great! So... I've got that going for me. 😒
Here’s to more adventures as the weather gets better! I got a little bit of sunshine today, but not for long and it was still 34 degrees😨
What would the kids say YAAAS! I think that’s right
I always wonder if the crews on the container ships are looking back...
You won me over Portland 🌿 See you again soon
Spent golden hour on the edge of Seattle 👌🏻
It’s feels good to be drawing again!
I don’t ask for much, just one lonely waterfall once in awhile and I’m good. Not being in anyone’s way while I practice taking pictures is what I enjoy. This place was exactly what I was looking for. Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable week.
Most waterfalls are cool, but there's the select few that have you going back more then once 😁
but we have today, so let’s make it count for something more than nothing
This way to the giant pacific octopus
words that were used to describe standing under this waterfall... unreal, heaven, avatar-like
I'll never stop being in awe of this place 😍✨🇨🇦
Later on we'll conspire
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid, the plans that we've made...
I've taken the last month off of instagram to really focus on something I've wanted to do for a long time.
After years of travelling and working along side one another, me and @roberttomkins are starting a film company together.
It's taken a lot of work, and we still have a long ways to go, but the future is looking crazy and I'm looking forward to posting again and having more insane adventures.
Brought this tourist up the sea to sky on probably the worst day (weather wise) but we still managed to make it epic 👌
