Taking time to reflect is such a powerful thing.
This is my story today, working my way through IT all day by day, step by step... It's quite nice actually to be in this space of rebuilding after major storms and I wouldn't have it any other way. My meditation, workout regimen and eating healthy are apart of my spiritual practices. This is something that I've come to realize over the past 4 years and knowing this has changed my life. Yes fitness and being healthy are extremely important to me but it's the "INNER WORK" that's allowed to take place while the OUTER WORK IS in motion. This is why no matter what's going on in my life I workout as best as I can it regardless of the results, eat healthy and meditate (it may sound strange but if you're a fighter and have survived something as well as if you're a spiritual person you'll understand this.) Now yes I've trained hard for many fitness driven events and had a list of "Epic" things I've wanted to do in this life as it pertained to fitness (a lot of which I've done), but it was never at all about that to begin with. It started with being diagnosed with Lupus and given a bleak prognosis that inspired me to make major changes in my life to try to extend it and improve the quality of it many years ago. From there I used the body and lemons that I was given and made Lemonade while beating the odds. So when I walk into the gym or to train it's like worship or prayer for me some times, the zone is Euphoric and transformational and I just get a chance to work through things. This is a piece of my life.
