I love this 3 faced mug because it is actually "tiki". So many of the tiki mugs designed today are whimsical artist interpretations created for the purpose of serving tiki drinks, but they themselves aren't necessarily tiki. This beauty IS TIKI!

Happy Tiki Tuesday, which today I am calling Tikiyaki Tuesday. So stoked about my newest mug from the Tikiyaki Orchestra. What a great design and Tiki Diablo (@tikidiablo on IG) just killed it in production. The small details make this mug so great; from the ‘Frequent Flyer’ and ‘Jungle Jetsetter’ script to the incredible Tikiyaki Airlines logo on the back. Oh, and have you heard the new EP from Tikiyaki 5-O Take the gun, leave the cannoli....
Happy Tiki Mug Monday!!! This year at Tiki Oasis I only bought one mug, the new The Secret Of Bum Island mug from Tiki Objects by Bosko (@tikibosko on IG) this is such a great mug!! Bosko’s style is perfect for this whimsical tribute to Jeff “Beachbum” Berry and a little know film by the Bum himself.
Happy Tiki Mug Monday. A few years back at a small little Tiki gathering down in San Diego I was introduced to this wild and crazy artist who was selling crazy shrunken heads and wild Tiki mugs with built in straws. After some negotiations I decided I had to take one of his Spirit Sippers home with me. Little did I know he signed and personalized it for me. (What a nice guy!!). Rumor has it he is making more ‘sipper’ mugs. Hopefully he will have them on display at that Oasis in August. 😉 .
Thanks Tom!!! (@thor_art_picture_portal)
Thanks Tiki Oasis
Yesterday I posted a picture of the incredible HooDoo the VooDoo Tiki mug by master craftsman, Crazy Al Evans, @crazyaltikis on IG. I referenced a custom version I had and was asked to show some pics, so here it is. When I started to really get into Tiki mugs, I fell in love with that mug but unfortunately Crazy Al was not making them anymore. However he was making custom versions. This was the first mug I purchased from Al and I could not have been happier. The mug is currently waiting for me to get a coffee table for it to sit on. Have a great Tiki Tuesday everyone
We all collect something. With some people it’s memorabilia. Or trading cards. Or musical instruments.
Me It’s retro-awesome tropical barware so that every time I even step near my bar I am transported away on an adventure.
You should see my collection of vintage swizzle sticks and coasters!
This is my most recent addition from my last trip to the wild frontier - Las Vegas. We discovered him in a true gem of an establishment - The Golden Tiki (@goldentiki).
It’s a legitimate MUST next time you’re in Vegas. The food. The drinks. The servers. The atmosphere. The oddly not-well hidden vintage porn (I am not making this up and it is hilarious).
Friends - you must go. Adventure awaits.
Sorry. I am a day late for Tiki Mug Monday, but I still wanted to post this up after seeing Swanky’s post over he weekend (@swankpad on Instagram) Here is my Ren Clark tribute mug from Wendy Cevola. If you have never seen, or heard of The Ren Clark Severed Head Mug, it is the true ‘Holy Grail’ for many Tiki Mug collectors. Ren Clark was a magician who had a Polynesian restaurant. The severed head was a nod to an act he used to perform. The original mug was much smaller than the original. There are also beautiful tribute mugs made by Notch (@topnotchkustoms on instagram) too. Happy Tiki Tuesday everyone
