👎🏼 Today was not fun
As some know but most do not I'm allergic to horses and hay (ironic), some days are worse than others but it's manageable with asmol, anti-histamines and breathing techniques. Today I got caught out mid-ride with a minor asthma attack, with no puffer or drink bottle. I haven't had any flare ups of hives so I haven't touched an anti-histamine in months. Thank the lord Barney is the best horse and stopped mid arena on the buckle while I stripped off still astride trying to get some air in my lungs 😂 caught me off guard as I was concentrating on our session and hadn't noticed I was struggling. Tried to soldier on after it passed but I know my body well enough to know that putting up the stirrups and trying again tomorrow is best. This has been a crazy non-conventional week for me. I have focused on everything I didn't get done. We as women, especially, have to start focusing on what we did get accomplished and stop beating ourselves up for every little thing we don't check off our to-do list.
🙌This week I worked out 4 days instead of 6, the positive is most days I worked out.
🙌This week I ate a lot of healthy food, hopefully, it outweighed the 3 boxes of milk duds I stress ate. 😂🤣
🙌I almost finished reading the 12 week year, set my goals for the next 12 weeks and planned out my upcoming week.
🙌My house is clean, my office is clean and I only have 3 loads of laundry left to do.
🙌I survived week 1 of my husband's surgery, no one died, everyone got fed, their medication on time, shots in the stomach 🤔 that is a win, right
So pat yourself on the back for what you did accomplish. We all have weeks that aren't our norm, but we simply do what we can and hope that the next week isn't so stressful.
It doesn’t matter if you didn’t make it out of bed/ comb your hair/ put proper clothes on/ feel like speaking to another human being today. If your body or mind can’t take it, don’t do it; try and challenge yourself again tomorrow.
