Mini wrap up | There's a lot of love in this picture!
J.K. Rowling - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: 🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠 I am always crying at the end. Once the Battle of Hogwarts starts, I need to sit on my bed and just listen until the end.
Rachel Cusk - Kudos: 🧠🧠🧠🧠 Cusk has does something brilliant with her trilogy and the last one was great again. They have all stayed with me, so I might bump them up to 5🧠 after a while. I will do a review of the three books together soon.
Kate Tempest - Let Them Eat Chaos: 🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠 I read this collection while watching a live performance on YouTube and I loved it so so much. She is absolutely incredible and really throws what's wrong with the world in your face while being very empathetic. It's tough love in a poem.
Toni Morrison - Beloved: 🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠 When I heard Ms. Morrison had died, the only thing I could do was read my favourite book of all time. I listened to it on audiobook, because Ms. Morrison herself reads it in this poetic voice that just transports me. She is the absolute queen of fiction in my opinion.

A Mercy by Toni Morrison is a study of a mother-daughter relationship against the backdrop of slavery and separation. The story progresses with each chapter alternating between different characters and their perspectives, ultimately leading Florens, a discarded daughter, back to her mother, for better or worse. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5 #ToniMorrison #RestInPower #BookReview #AMercy

Friendship. Love. Mothers. Death. Betrayal. Gentrification. PTSD. Community. Black women. Survival. Kindreds. I am left pondering the meaning and the strength of these things after finishing this novel. #Sula #ToniMorrison
“At some point in life the world's beauty becomes enough. You don't need to photograph, paint or even remember it. It is enough. No record of it needs to be kept and you don't need someone to share it with or tell it to. When that happens — that letting go — you let go because you can.” - Toni Morrison #tonimorrison
One of my most recent purchases was this novel by the brilliant, late Toni Morrison. I haven’t read it yet but am looking forward to the experience. Her loss to the world inspired the purchase sooner than planned and will prompt an earlier reading too.
Have you read her books Which are your favorites

What is YOUR truth Do you know What ideas, beliefs, opinions, patterns of behavior are yours versus what you have adopted from your family of origin, society, and others How do you know your truth
For me, it is like pealing away an onion - one layer at a time. Doing that with love, self compassion, and support from trusting, loving souls that help hold space and the Light for me. How is this process of finding your truth for you What is your experience Comment below...and thanks for the shares in advance! 🙏 #clearintuition
When you wrote, “Don’t ever think I fell for you. I didn’t fall in love, I rose in it.”, the only person I thought I could ever say that to, was you. Nobody but you deserves those words, for only you’re worth of the magic you weave. I always thought, I would tell you this over a cup of tea with the same quote, for you write my thoughts better than I ever can.
This is what drives me close to you, every time I sit under a lonely dark sky, your books become the yellow warm street light right over my bench. There is no one else, who can make me feel less alone when in guilt. Your words bring smiles, tears, goosebumps, gasps making me wonder if you intended this.
Did you Did you intend any of this To make me feel alright at my worst To not make my flaws look ugly Could you come back once if I were to show you the strength that you build inside of me and a million others
You pull out deep rooted weeds of judgements and binaries ingrained in my mind as if you are plucking flowers and making a way for the new ones, you make space for wisdom in those very sickening thoughts which you throw away, with every word, every sentence you build a better person out of my skin and bones.
Bluest Eye, Paradise, Sula, Tar Baby, Jazz sit on my shelf today, looking at me a little disappointed. I promised each one of them, to have your signature, I promised them that I would show you, the exact words which touched me. They’re unsigned, a little hurt. But they’re still yours so I’ll keep them closer to my heart, hug each one of them as if they were you. You live in every page of your books and speak to me through a Jazz that’s now become my new Paradise.
Saying thank you for all that you have done just belittles what I actually have to say. But I guess that’s the least and the most I can do right now To thank you, for building a strong, bold woman out of me.
You are writer to be read, who solved my problems (To what you said with regards to an introduction in Sula, where you wrote “I was rather a problem to be solved, than a writer to be read.”) Yours,
An obsessed fan. -sucho🌻
