I’m a personal trainer at 24 hour fitness Yother day someone came up to me they followed me on Instagram and they said that I look really intimidating in my posts. The reason why I look like that is because when I’m working out I’m so focused on what I need to do and what my fitness journey is all about that I don’t want to be bothered I just am in the gym to work out and get done what I need to get done and then get out. That being said personal trainers not drill sergeant. Were there to educate, motivate you about fitness, and to guide you along the way so you can work out the right way live a healthy lifestyle and stay injury free. When I train a client they have just as much input on their workout program in routine then I do. It is all about their fitness journey what their goals are and what they want. My goal in my fitness journey is different that’s why my training is different that’s why it’s a lot more intense and that’s why am a lot more focused during my workout. There are so many different aspects of their fitness that you can’t just do one thing you have to do a variety of things in order to get results into staying motivated and excited about fitness. Once a week I exhaust myself in the gym for a couple of hours. I focus on jumping exercise (plyo), agility training, and push/pull of my body weight. Through this rigours exercise, I am evaluating my strength and endurance. I’m also pushing myself to the point of exhaustion to get a sense of how much my body can take. The only way, for me, to justify the weight lifting and pulling is to kick my butt with no weights. Since weight lifting (done correctly) is meant to build strength and endurance I have to test that theory to evaluate my fitness progress. 
Moral of the story, if you can push and pull weights but you can not push/pull your own body weight then it may be time to reconsider your fitness goals and routine.

How many times have you said ‘fuck it’ because you’ve had a bad day or some bad news❓Skipped training & rushed for the biscuit tin❓ 🍪

Food can be seen as comfort, when you are dieting nothing is more comfortable than the food you’re depriving yourself of 🍔 
_
Would gaining weight, or not progressing add to your stress levels? If the answer is yes, here’s some things I want you try (that I do) to stay on track with your diet 👇
_
1️⃣ Take time out (not from your diet) stop what you’re doing, do something that makes you happy 
_
2️⃣ Speak to someone... if you’re constantly stressed, you need to reach out... Mental health isn’t a taboo topic anymore, it’s always better out than in! 
_
3️⃣ Go for a walk / do cardio. This will give you time to calm down alone, take you away from food & produce endorphins making you feel better 
_
4️⃣ Drink water! Not fizzy drinks, not caffeine, water... if you’re stressed, training hard you’re probably a little bit dehydrated as little as 2% dehydration can affect your mood 
_
5️⃣ Get some vitamin D!! The most neglected supplement there is. Even better, get some from the sun ☀️ I know you can’t just jet off.. so a sun bed is probably a bit more realistic (as you can see, I defintiely don’t do this one 👀)
_
6️⃣ Take a deload and a diet break if you feel over trained / constantly food focused 
_
7️⃣ I use Big Dream before bed, this isn’t just a plug for @endevanutrition_ it contains 5HTP & Lemon Balm both proven to cause relaxation with 5HTP being a popular supplement to reduce stress & anxiety
