Grateful to have finally experienced what it’s like to be a retreat participant vs. a main facilitator. This week was filled with much needed pool time, 4 hands massage, rest, nourishing food, wellness workshops and lots of movement - hiit training, martial arts, capoeira and meditation/ #yoga with the ocean as our view and soundtrack.
Thank you for creating such a wonderful experience @sunshinezerda and @qviolin. I haven’t felt this combination of strength, rejuvenation and inner peace in a very long time ✨🌊🧘🏽♀️🌴❤️🙌🏾
FYI Sunshine will be hosting her next retreat in June and mine will be in November of 2019. Stay tuned for more info ✨✨✨ #BaliRetreats

I’m a Capricorn and Capricorn’s don’t play. We put in work! And the last few months I’ve worked harder for a longer stretch than ever before. It was intense, challenging, rewarding, healing, beautiful and completely exhausting. I try to plan vacay trips as often as i can cuz it’s one of the only ways i allow myself to take a real break, even if that means going to a small town near by to breathe differently. Though this time, it’s another country. #HelloBali #TimeToPlay #TimeToRest #TimeToBe #LoveToTravel #SelfCareAdvocate #TravelWithTati
Nails done, hair done, everything did 🎶 .
I’ve been working with my third chakra a lot lately. Wearing yellow often, keeping citrine close by, playing chakra meditations and doing things that connect me to my core.
The third chakra is all about the perception of who you are. Sensing your personal power, being confident, responsible, and reliable. This chakra is the center of your self-esteem, your willpower, self-discipline, as well as warmth in your personality. The energy of this chakra allows you to transform inertia into action and movement. It allows you to meet challenges and move forward in your life.
Every time you judge or criticize yourself, you deplete this chakra and weaken your willpower. Self love, self acceptance, and acknowledgement of your own worth are the building blocks of the third chakra.
A woman with an open and balanced Manipura Chakra values herself and her work, is confident in her ability to do something well, loves and accepts herself, is willing to express herself in a powerful way, knows that she has the freedom to choose to be herself and direct her own life. So that’s what I’m working on 💛 #SheHealHer .
Thanks for the insight #ChakraAnatomy 🙏🏾
Standing on land that was once inhabited by the Gullah Geechee people. They built their own settlement after being emancipated from slavery, which included the first African Babtist Church on Cumberland Island. The same church where JFK Jr. got married. We took a long, beautiful drive along the beach to get here with no people or infrastructure in site. Just this land with its stories and our souls open to receiving it all. #cumberlandisland #travelwithtati
Been twirling in the streets of #nola

I truly love this city ⚜️
Should you feel an ache in the chest, a pressure in the rib cage, that is all right. Your heart is not an object that can break...but if it were, they say the heart that breaks open can hold the whole universe. Your heart is that large. Trust it. Keep breathing. ~unknown .

Cuz vacation is no excuse to not move my body. Here’s a little morning warm up from our hotel balcony in Cabo with corny music from iMovie 😆🌴✌🏾 #MovementMeditation #TravelWithTati
I’ve been praying for you. All of you. Visualizing everyone embodying their purpose. Healing their bodies from the inside out. Protecting those that need safety. Speaking your truth no matter how hard it may be. Forgiving those that have hurt you and loving everyone harder anyway.
May you be awake enough to follow the path you must take to avoid unnecessary collision. The waters of life can move you any which way, or you can swim in the direction of your calling. What does your heart whisper to you And are you listening
My husband doesn’t really like to travel. i know, i know, I’m still processing this, lol! He thinks our home is basically the best place on earth and that anything we want to do somewhere else in the world we can do in LA 🙄😏 Truth is, I think his resistance to traveling is related to trauma but that’s another story for another day. Either way, despite his hesitations, he takes these trips with me 🙏🏾 Where we get to connect with other cultures and disconnect from our daily routine. I woke up around 6am just about every morning. Anyone who really knows me probably has their jaw dropped cuz early morning and I don’t really get along. I got up at that time to fit in all the things I wanted to do. Sam would have been happy chillin in the water every day but I’m a sucker for adventure and I appreciate that he’s always down to explore. We visited a gorgeous botanical garden. Ate fresh bread from an oven built inside a little mountain in the jungle. Saw dolphins and swordfish playing in the ocean. Ate lunch in a river. I mean feet in the water and the table was in the river 😳😱😍 I got stung by baby jelly fish while we were snorkeling. It was the first time in my life I wanted to pee on myself 😂 Held a python for the first and maybe only time. I don’t like snakes but sometimes i push myself past my comfort zone to gain more super powers 🐍💪🏾 We know how to have a good time. We also take some good photos together to capture these special moments we have. But just like many other couples, we still get on each other’s nerves and test each other’s patience. We laughed a lot and we also had some difficult conversations that will hopefully bear good fruit. We are far from a fairytale but we put in work: Practicing heart to heart conversations, daily appreciations and staring into each other’s eyes with love and sincerity. Thanks for being my ride or die boo🌹 .

She captures the greatest moments with her Instagram, but most importantly, she's captured my heart. #travelwithtati @tatianazamir
I'm gonna miss waking up to all this beauty 😍
Visiting the National #Bahai Center in Kingston was sweet. I'm always reminded how this global Faith has played the biggest role in shaping me into the woman I am today ✨❤️🙌🏾 #grateful #onelove #foodforthesoul
Just over here smilin' thru the heat. Coolest day so far was 88 degrees 🔥
This place is magical 🌿💛🙌🏾
Got my whole life watching these young ones #dance tonight!
Today our new friend Nishan made us the most delicious salad from her organic garden. Fresh vegetables aren't easy to find here, not to mention organic ones. We are super grateful! #nofilter #organicliving #jamaica #travelwithtati
Been using @unsuncosmetics, which uses natural ingredients to protect your precious skin from the sun and I love it! It was created for all skin tones, so if you got more melanin it won't leave your face whiter than it was designed to be. #getchusome #naturalskincare #unsuncosmetics
Sun kissed toes 🌞
These two stole my heart in 🇯🇲
An American woman I was speaking to in fes said to me, "Just tell the women you work with to travel in order to solve all their problems." I say, if only it were that easy. I think many people romanticize traveling and think that by going somewhere else they will then be happy. But happiness is an inside job and a reflection of our state of being under all circumstances. I'm not saying that traveling doesn't have many benefits or that it can't have a powerful effect on your mood or support your healing journey. But if you're feeling the need to escape your life, whatever is troubling you will most likely not disappear by visiting a different land, cuz as my girl Anais Nin says, "Wherever You Go, There You Are." And while there have been many aspects of my travel journey which has slowed me down and allowed me the opportunity to center myself, there are also a lot of tests that can come when you're out of your comfort zone. Many of the test I've experienced will allow me to come home with a greater appreciation for the simple things in life, like toilet paper in public bathrooms 😁 But I also hope to bring home with me the beauty of being present more often while continuing to find growth within stillness and wonder. As soon as the plane lands in LA, I always feel the busyness of the city and the pressures that can come with it. Learning how to maintain peace within, no matter the place, requires a constant practice of prayer and mindful awareness ✨🙏🏾✨
There are endless markets and medinas in Morocco. The opportunity to shop is everywhere. I mean EVERYWHERE!!! As a woman who has an addictive tendency towards shopping, I must say I'm pretty proud of myself for holding back a lot on this trip. I'm learning how to intuitively shop as oppose to being impulsive about it. Hoping I keep this up and that I don't need to go to #shoppingtherapy #inshallah #detachment #babysteps #travelwithtati
A merchant in the medina showed me how to make my own rose water from pure rose oil, which came from these beautiful petals. Roses have such a sensual and spiritual quality and have been used by ancient cultures for centuries for their various healing properties. Looking forward to using these flower essences in my smoothies, tea and body products when I get home 🌸
The beauty of the journey makes long distance traveling - through cities and towns, oceans to deserts to lush green mountains - easier to digest. #travelandlife #travelwithtati
Just another beautiful door in #morocco
