❄️“Did you get any snow” She asked. ❄️Rita is my mentor this year and she knows that I absolutely adore snow! WINTER IS NOT ACTUALLY WINTER UNLESS THERE IS SNOW! IF THERE IS NO SNOW IT’S JUST AN EXTENDED WET FALL! THANK YOU! ☃️I pulled out my phone and showed her this picture that I posted above. Now that I think of it, it would’ve been funny to google a picture of someone’s house after a blizzard and tell her that I had experienced my first blizzard, because a few weeks before, we had discussed extreme weather chasers, and how we both loved snow, but I had never experienced a blizzard before! However, I pulled no such jokes. We had a fascinating conversation following her initial inquiry, but even more mind boggling to me is the woman who asked the question. Her one simple question - a seemingly depthless question - promoted an entire conversation about the things I learned from going home for Christmas. I’ve wondered since: “how does one ask questions that seem so casual but brings about such amazing fruit” To this day, I’m still puzzled. I hope to learn more from Rita in this aspect, as well as many others over the course of the next 8 months. .

What is your favorite question to ask people 🤔🤔🤔Mine is: “What is your favorite color”
So after years of going back and forth to the doctors about my skin.. I’ve finally been told what I knew anyway, that I have rosacea. I could wear little or no makeup for months, I could buy the most expensive face creams ( that claim are the best thing for your skin ) and i’d still end up with a red, sore and blotchy face. Now that I’ve been a bit more educated by a dermatologist about all the harsh chemicals in soaps and face creams i’m hoping that trying out a few new things might calm my redness down. I was recommend cetaphil by a lot of people and also Clarins as they’re the biggest skin care brand in the UK. Here goes! #ROSACEA #ROSACEASKINCARE #SKINCARE #CETAPHIL #CLARINS #REDNESSSOLUTIONS #GENTLESKIN #ACNE #FACEWASH #TRYINGNEWTHINGS
Forgot to post yesterday! I’m trying out this new organic product made by @sewcrazymomma who makes her own personal Keto recipes. This one is for hair, skin and nail growth. My hair is pretty curly so, forgive the bad example. I’m getting a new flat iron soon, so maybe that’ll help! I’ll be taking two daily as the instructions follow and will post every week for results. #hairgrowth #nailgrowth #skingrowth #organic #tryingnewthings

My first herbal mead made with wild-harvested Spruce yeast, wild St. John's Wort, and organic Strawberries.
This wild mead will have a low alcohol content and be more medicinal due to the active fermentation.
I used St. John's Wort to bring in the spirit of sunshine for these Winter months.
Thank you, @pascalbaudar for your amazing books!
Let me share a little recipe with you...chia pudding!! ⠀⠀
This is so yummy!! And super simple...even better. ⠀⠀
1/2 c. almond milk
1/4 c. heavy cream
1/4 c. Chia seeds
1 tsp vanilla
1-2 tbsp powdered swerve
1 tbsp cocoa powder
Stir it up until combined and let sit for 15 minutes or overnight. ⠀⠀
That’s it! So yummy and good for you! Google chia seeds and all the goodies it does. ⠀⠀
You can tweak this to fit your desires too 😉
The past couple of weeks I've been using some meals from @hellofresh. I got a coupon from @shepodcast for $60 off over the course of 3 weeks. And last week between food I had left from the previous week and the meals delivered right to my door, I didn't have to go to the grocery store. Which was super nice.
Here is my personal opinion on my experience with 3 weeks of HelloFresh. *** NOT an ad, NOT being sponsored by them, just me sharing what I think. Consider this my review I'd post on their site or something** Pro:
Helps with portion control
The carb to veggie ratio is off in my opinion (the green beans I have on my plate was supposed to be split between 2 people and there were supposed to be oven roasted potatoes. The other day my side was a "veggie" salad that was 90% corn and sweet potato. So I made my own alterations to the meals to fit my personal preference and meal plan)
You can select meals free from common allergens
Very, very few dairy free options. However, there's some where you can just not put the cheese in it, or leave out the sour cream topping. Which just means Kari has lots of little cheese and sour cream packets haha
Lots of plans: classic (2 person meals), family (4 person meals), veggie
Price hands down. The coupon helped a lot and made it similar to me buying the same things from Meijer. But then I had to pay shipping ... I know, I know, first world problems. For someone who has the dispensable income and a busy life, the convenience factor is probably worth it. Unfortunately I'm missing the dispensable income part which for me is why I won't be continuing to use it... Plus, sometimes grocery shopping is a nice study break!
