I haven’t been able to workout these past couple days because my mom has been in the hospital and any extra time I have I’ve been at the hospital. And when I don’t work out I feel bad. Like I’m letting myself down. It truly bothers me. But I know my schedule will get back to normal here soon once my mom gets released. It can be helpful to measure my servings every once and a while to make sure my eyeballing is accurate. I can get a little excited with my spoon🥄in the almond butter jar👀. A handful of almonds/nuts can be DOUBLE a portion easily w/o realizing it (swipe👉🏼) so those healthy fats can get out of hand. We can only store a certain amount at once before any extra goes straight to those fat cells for later. —————————————-For🍠🥔🌽🥞starches, I like to think of them as a +1 for your meal. They’re sometimes fun and yummy but not necessary unless fueling for intense extended exercise. Like when I’m out at Mexican and want chips & salsa, I always think of a serving on a bag would be 10-15 chips. If you keep those +1 starches at a serving you can enjoy and still feel great w/o being so restrictive and white🤐knuckling till your food comes. —————————————And veggies🥗are pretty unlimited in my book. Nobody every got less healthy by overeating🥦🥕🥬vegetables. 📷 @calorie.hacks @confessionofadietitian
