#mondaymotivation Be your best self, and everyone else will show you how much fun you are having.
I have the Mayoral Chain of Portsmouth around my neck!
So if you guys saw my story yesterday, you know about this random guy I met on the train. I was in the process of taking a photo of another random man in front of me, oblivious to the camera to his face when this guy waved me over. “Why you taking photos of random people girl” .
And sometimes I don’t know the answer to that. But this led to a great conversation about street photography and how a photo to me is not just a still image. I got him warmed up to the idea and he even took some shots of me. I snuck this one in after he told me it was his first time using a fancy camera hehe. .
These pictures to me aren’t just still images. They’re feelings and stories that I connect to in one way or another. It’s not just a woman reading a paper or a man just looking out the window. It’s what’s going on behind those scenes and in their heads. It’s how their hands are placed and their hair falls. The stories these people could tell and how I sometimes create my own stories through these images intrigue me. .
I gotta admit I’m always nervous about putting my art out there. I finally bought a camera thanks to @usmankh_n and am really excited to keep at it. .
If you read this far, you a real one. Hit me with a 🖤 and your thoughts on street shots. #a6000 #sony
