While David was taking this photo, we overheard some girls talking while posing in front of the wall-art. Trying to create a more authentic shot, the one girl told her friend that she looked "too stern, tell a story or something" to look more relaxed and happy. I can't judge because I am all too guilty of this as well. People are aware that Instagram is very shallow and only shows the highlights of people's lives. We often forget that a cute photo in front of a graffiti wall is staged and that 10 photos are taken before you have one that looks worthy enough to share. Out of all the highs and lows of life, only the highs get published on social media. This weekend was just a friendly reminder that everyone's life looks polished on social media, but it's not the whole picture.

I've had a big clean out of my studio this weekend as I've had to relocate my studio out of our spare bedroom to the garage so that the kids have a new learning space for their homeschooling work. .
