I couldn’t hold a PVC pipe over my head and squat 8 months ago. It was sad business. My mobility and technique was AWFUL. Countless hours of stretching my chest
& shoulders and working on technique is finally paying off. NO DOUBT I still have a long ways to go to improve the skill and add more weight BUT right now, I’ll take this fruit with happiness. 🏋🏽♀️
Go after something that you struggle with and intimidates you. Face it eye to eye. You against you. Then fight the crap out of it till you overcome & conquer. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Working out for me and doing runs, races & fitness competitions is my way of not letting the pain from my past and often times pain that I deal with now turn my heart into something ugly. It’s my way of decompressing, spending time with the lord & feeling all the things that are inside of me.... My Emotions. I remember over a decade ago where I told the doctors I wasn’t going to take anti depressants anymore. I told myself that I wasn’t going to make drinking wine at night and taking a sleeping aide my normal. I broke up with all the thoughts and words spoken over me that I was broken, depressed and that being medicated would be my new normal. I got on my knees every single night and prayed. I went to the gym and took care of myself. I found a therapist that walked me through healing. It’s been over a decade since I’ve drank, felt depressed and let anyone speak anything over me that isn’t life giving & I still meet with my therapist. I made a commitment to myself that I would be an example that healing, growing and overcoming can be beautiful. #spartanrace2019 #finisher #athlete #proathlete #lifestyle #health #healed #free

It doesn’t just happen overnight!
it’s taken years of experimenting with different training techniques and tweaking my diet to be able to manipulate my body to train four different goals whether it be triathlon or aesthetic’s. The one thing I have learnt along the way is Diet is the Key!
Feeling quite unmotivated today to go to the gym. Just want to laying in bed all day as I can’t be bothered with seeing people to be honest 😕😅 But today is legs and glutes and we can’t miss it 👊🏻 just have to pull myself together and get on with it !

Legs day......... didn’t want to do it!!! I’m tired, I was disinterested, I ate like 20 biscuits on Wednesday.
But still turned up, got it done and and now I feel better for it.
Getting lean and trying to stay that way is hard work!!! There is no good genetics or he/she loses weight easy!! Non of that is a real thing. If you want it you have to just do what’s necessary as with everything in life!
