Back Yogy at Mount Sanine today. Known as DARKLING, STINKBUG, or CLOWN BEETLE . It seems it can make a headstand when threatened. Although it is rare to see it doing a headstand, you ll be amazed if you encounter one during autumn time as most probably it will be rolling a ball double its size of gathered food towards its underground home.

Good morning to the #besttravelcommunity 🙋🏼♀️. This morning I would like to tell you about my visit to the Organization @wildlife_friends_foundation and spread some information and education. The Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand ( #WFFT ) is a registered foundation under Thai law whose main objectives are the rescue of maltreated or neglected wild animals, provision of a sanctuary for sick and disabled animals, rehabilitation and release where possible and care for those who are unable to be returned to the wild. The forested land around the elephant sanctuary gives the rescue elephants the chance to roam around in near natural surroundings. Elephants are a lot like humans ❗️. They socialize, have families and friends, FEEL PAIN, sorrow and happiness. When they are in trekking camps, they are often not engaging with other elephants. In some camps, they live their lives essentially in solitary confinement. Phajaan, or elephant crushing, is a long-standing accepted tradition in Thai culture. This harmful training method is what elephants undergo to become part of the tourism industry. Young elephants are taken from their mothers and confined to a small place, then abused with bullhooks and bamboo sticks spiked with nails. They are also starved and deprived of sleep, in order to crush their spirits and become submissive to humans💔. After they have lost their will to live, the supposed savior comes and “rescue” them from this place of torment. The elephant is now obedient and would, in gratitude, do anything for this man, such as carrying tourists all day through the jungle or zoo.
A lot of these elephants are working with the staff of the Elephant Refuge & Education Center Petchaburi towards the goal of being reintroduced into the wild. Elephants are huge magnificent animals 🐘💕. It’s incredible that after knowing only a life of abuse and exploitation, they remain gentle trusting humans. It’s incredible. Isn’t it ...
