🍇 2013 @produttoridelbarbaresco “Rio Sordo” (Riserva) Barbaresco
One grape. Nebbiolo 🍇
One wine. Barbaresco 🍷
With 250 acres in the heart of Barbaresco, and with only small growers of friends and family working together and understanding that they could make something greater than what they could ever hope to achieve as individuals.
Ladies and gentlemen, Produttori del Barbaresco. ❤️🍇
*In great vintages only, nine single vineyards are produced and released after four years under the Riserva program. These wines are produced from a selection of grapes sourced from nine historical premium sites within the Barbaresco village boundaries*
If you are lucky enough to snag one of these special Crus off the shelf of a local boutique or on a wine list, please don’t hesitate. I promise you won’t be disappointed ✌🏼🍀.
So what are they like 👇🏼
👀 Radiant ruby, just starting show a little garnet fade 💃.
👃 on the nose it will immediately suck you right in 🥰
Striking notes of fresh red roses 🌹
Dried red roses 🥀
Exotic notes of fresh tar (classic) 💗
Picking up little hints of toasted orange peels and just the slightest note of savory herb and all spice 💫 .
💋 on palate it’s a real game changer 😋
Such beautiful, finessed texture that just screams magnificence and classic Nebbiolo 🍇
It will deceive you on sight, thinking the body might be lighter in style, but as soon as you taste you will find that surprising character, and power 💪🏼🔥
Concentrated tart cherry 🍒
Cooked cranberries with slight herbaceous back-note 🍃
Very clean and polishing mountain mineral charm ⛰.
Acid is sharp and cuts like a knife 🔪 all the way through the finish line. 🏃
Dry...superb balance, and impeccable structure with that long lasting old world flavor profile that sucks you right back for another intoxicating sip 💋💋💋
**needs to mature more time but still magnificent👌🏼.
2013 absolute monster vintage 🔥
I’m thinking of tapping into another 2013 with my Coravin. 🤔 💭
I have a few more of these Crus:
Muncagota, Pora, Rabaja, & Montestefano.
Which one should I taste next

“The best wines are made in the vineyard” is a famous belief behind Old-Word winemaking philosophy. -
I believe that the best way to experience the wines is to taste them in the vineyard with people who make them. It is hard to achieve this experience, because not many of us can travel as much as we wish. -

Take a stroll into the cavernous cellars of invention and discover our latest offering. Brewed together with our friends from @crakbrewery, it presses lambrusco juice + denali + lactose into a smooth and creamy DIPA, with crushed pineapple sweetness & a touch of prickly acidity—it’s a little bit frilly nuance, a lot a bit straight up every grape drink/drank you’ve ever known. 🥤🍇🥤 Put on your FANCY PANTS Friday at noon! ••1 case pp; subject to change based on demand.•• #cultivatethatpurple
Thank you 🙏🏻 for sharing @elevenmadisonpark “We first adopted the old technique of using a port tong because opening port wine with an everyday wine key was practically impossible with too many crumbled corks to count. With Port, it’s aged in the cellar for years and over time the sugar seals the cork shut. This technique allowed us to remove the cork altogether in a seamless and admittedly pretty cool way. Sometimes we have to look to the past to bring about innovation and it’s been a fun and exciting way to open wine in the dining room for the past few years. When Erica O’Neal, one of our somms, joined our team in January 2018 she started to rethink our set up for the port tong and how to improve its 18th century structure with a more modern twist (and zero accidents). Coming from an engineering background, she built a port tong holder prototype out of wood and binder clips and reimagined how to present old ways of opening Port with more modern tools. She reached out to a metal worker in Long Island City and in six weeks we had our own custom set of port tong holders fit with a design to match our renovation.” Watch the full video on our IGTV. #MonthOfInnovative #ElevenMadisonPark

Good friends, delicious cheese and a glass of Valpolicella Ripasso #ScuderiaItalia, a perfect #tastytuesday! 🍷🧀
Studio time. 🎨🍷💖.
Processing "Wine Wave" wooden boxes. Here you can see the 5th chakra, one from the OPUS7 coasters set for harmonizing our drinks.
A crowd-pleasing Cabernet from high-elevation, old vines in the foothills of Mendoza, Argentina’s Andes Mountains. 🍷 #tastingnotes: Lot 53 Cabernet Sauvignon is a melody of black currants and red cherries that rise above a backdrop of leather and toast. Juicy, dark berry fruits with a trickle of sweet spice and savory plums. It’s okay if you just made an “Mmm” noise out loud... we don’t judge around here. 🍷 Serve with grilled rib eye, portabella mushrooms and hearty meat dishes! 🍽
We installed the winning door from our February competition today! What you do think (Just say it looks great 🤣)
My reaction as the wine fridges were getting delivered today 😍 But really, I'm way too excited about this wine room project and can't wait to share the finished product with y'all soon! 🍷🍷So much of the inspiration for this space has come from all the Napa and Sonoma wineries we've visited over the years. I wanted our wine room to be bright, inviting, practical and I wanted it to fit into the overall "theme" of our house. It's coming together quite nicely, and I can't wait to celebrate the completion with a bottle of wine (or two) 🥂🍾
