I have been impressed with what I have seen of how my fellow New Zealanders have dealt with the recent Christchurch tragedy. Despite some issues and questions that have been raised locally and globally, I have seen many people simply banding together as members of the human race. Extremism cannot survive where love is fostered. May our friendships continue to grow and divides continue to be crossed.
Obviously, don’t listen to Jeff when it comes to your love life/picture/video taking (unless you’re into that kind of thing), but when it comes to dogs and stopping unwanted behaviors, he is the guy with lots of helpful advice. -
We actually hear about these issues a lot with couples. A dog either guards one person, or is a “sheriff” and wants to stop any sort of fun going on in the household. -
We have a phrase that we like to use for dogs who participate in this behavior, and it’s called “cut the shit!” You can stop your dog from doing this a couple of different ways. -
1. Teach the dog the “out” command and get them to physically move away from whatever is going on. Or 2. Correct the dog for barking, jumping, humping, etc. This can all be stopped with a leash pop or a remote collar correction. -
Once you teach the dog that they are not allowed to dictate your love life, they will get the picture and you’ll be free to kiss whoever you want. 😀 -
This clip is from our YouTube Live Show, “What Would Jeff Do” Episode 521. You bring the questions (and a sense of humor) and I bring the answers. You can find us at the link in the bio.
If I were to ask someone to describe who you are to me, what would they say Would they say you are kind, humble, gentle, patience, merciful
Would they say you are easily angered, malicious, rude, speaks with profanity
If I were to ask someone if they believe you to be a follower of Jesus, would they say YES or NO
Earlier this week we talked about being CHOSEN by God as his very own people. By being CHOSEN by God it is our RESPONSIBILITY to REPRESENT Him to others in all that we do.
As Jesus followers our mindset and our way of living is transformed. We no longer give attention to worldly desires.
We change our moral and ethical behavior by allowing the Holy Spirit to live in us.
NATURE is described as “the basic or inherent features of something, especially when seen as characteristic of it” - Does your CHARACTER represent JESUS!
When we allow Christ to live in us, we allow him to mold us into what our IDENTITY should be.
Others should not have to question who we are.
The way we live our lives by our ACTIONS, our CHARACTERISTICS and our VALUES should be a clear representation of WHO WE ARE - A FOLLOWER OF JESUS.
⚔️I challenge you today, to observe your way of living. Are you truly living like a follower of Jesus Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any wrong doings in your life and pray for transformation. Live your life as the CHOSEN PEOPLE of GOD!
CLAIM your NEW IDENTITY & PUT ON your NEW NATURE!
Colossians 3:12-17 (NLT)
12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.
15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts… And always be thankful.16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives...
17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus.
