One of the great things about drinking at places like @blueblood_steakhouse is that you get to drink amongst a literal TON of history…and you also get to drink with national treasures like @oliverbstern 😉 Here’s a spirit-forward drink I tried out from Oliver’s cocktail menu that was named after the castle’s founder, Sir Henry Pellatt - a Canadian financier who had the castle built as his home in 1914.
FUN FACT: Sir Henry Pellatt had a wine cellar that held over fifteen hundred bottles. He kept these bottles cool using a refrigeration unit made from pipes filled with ammonia. This cellar was decommissioned during the 1930s and buried behind walls until March of 2016, when it was discovered intact during restoration work. It has been refurbished to its original state and is now fully functional. It stands as the oldest wine cellar in Toronto.

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Also, go check out the wine cellar!!

Who else loves Mangoes 🥭 😱
I love the taste of a delicious sweet fruit in my salad 🥗 🥭👌
Mangoes are in season in Australia at the moment & they are just so sweet and juicy 🙌🏻
This summer salad was fabulous to have on its own or as a delicious accompaniment to any dish..
Baby spinach 🍃 rocket leaves 🌿 basil 🌱 sweet cherry tomatoes 🍅 asparagus 🎋
I made the dressing from the juicy mango with a little lime, olive oil topped with a pinch of salt, pepper & finished off with a little caramelised balsamic vinegar 👌🌿😱🥭🌱🍃🎋🥗
Absolutely delicious 😋 .
Hope you all have a fabulous week ❤️😘❤️

Last week for the first time in months I got to shoot a personal project and couldn’t be happier about it!
Between being ill for weeks and heading back to work, there wasn’t much space for it, though normally I would carve out time almost every week to work on personal projects.
Mostly, just to get rid of ideas haunting me and try out new things.
So, long story short, I’ve been thinking about shooting (and eating) churros with chocolate for a while now and get back to working on some really dark and moody images.
When was the last time you’ve worked on a personal project

Aubergine, eggplant... whatever you call them they're certainly one of the more intriguing looking veggies. Right up there with romanesco (the psychedelic brassica). I don't know if it's the goth-like dark colour on the outside of the eggplant or the way they feel like tiny dolphins when you pick them up.
Whatever it is, I'm always drawn to them. I love throwing a few into the coals at a barbecue to whiz into baba ganoush, or using them as the basis for vegan meatballs or burgers.
They're versatile little veg porpoises, no
Are you a fan of aubergine/eggplant

After travelling this past weekend, I needed to definitely get more vegetables into me. I really enjoy salads ONLY when there are lots of textures and flavours.
Today, my salad consisted of
*Red Leaf Lettuce
*Leftover roasted vegetables from the night before. Roasted carrots, sweet potatoes, onions, butternut squash, and cauliflower. *Sunflower Seeds *Hard boiled Egg
*Dressing was easy just a high quality olive oil and Espresso Balsamic vinegar.
This salad is super hearty and is really filling. I didn’t even feel the need for animal protein in this salad, but for sure you could add some!

Vi auguro una buona serata 😊 😊 😊
Happy Monday! Tried to sneak these meringue cookies in before my work trip last week.

This weekend I was on fire in the kitchen! Perhaps it was the cold weather and my hankering for comfort foods, or perhaps I was just feeling one with my oven. Whatever it was, the Goddess of Cookery was filling my spirit and my kitchen with delicious food. It wasn’t all healthy but balance, my friends!
This first one kicked off my Friday evening after shopping too late and needing a quick dinner. So, a rotisserie chicken and some pantry staples later, I had this for dinner and lunch the next day!

Can we just rewind and go back to the beginning of the weekend again please! Maybe even Thursday night where the yummy eating began! 🐟 With this delicious pan fried hake fillet on a bed of green bean & tomato concasse, topped in a celery pine nut caper salsa giving it so much flavour and a real different taste!
This was after the apple & celeriac soup to start, served with thick crusty sourdough and we had to try the special dish of the amazing salmon fish cakes too!! 🐟 All amazing food with exceptional service, and extremely accommodating to allergies! (Invited)
