There's more to extended-hand-to-big-toe pose than meets the eye.
It's quite challenging for both legs since balance and tonicity are necessary to stand on one leg while positionning the other one correctly. 
Extended-hand-to-big-toe is a deep hamstrings stretching pose. The hip flexors also get a very good stretch and it really makes the core, quadriceps and pelvis work too, a very good combination for daily yoga practice and for #prenatanalyoga. 
Keeping this pose is challenging and it's really possible to see how much we get better at it everyday.

I just like how yoga teaches inner and outer balance, patience, humbleness because there is always work to find the perfect posture. I also really appreciate how easily concentrating on breathing and details can make us forget that there is a batch of laundry to be folded and put away or that this stack of files and mail on the desk was supposed to be sorted. .

🇨🇵 Le "bras tendu au gros orteil" est une posture utile au quotidien et en #yogaprénatal pour étirer les muscles intérieurs des cuisses et les ischios-jambiers, ouvrir les hanches tout en renforçant les quadriceps et le plancher pelvien. 
On ne dirait pas comme ça, mais cette position du bras tendu au gros orteil pose pas mal de challenges. Elle oblige à trouver son équilibre tout en faisant beaucoup travailler la synergie des groupes musculaires des jambes et du plancher pelvien.
Ce n'est pas facile de garder cette pose en tendant correctement les deux jambes, l'amélioration par des essais quotidiens est visible et très gratifiante.

J'aime la façon dont on fait l'apprentissage de l'équilibre (tant dans les poses qu'en interne), de la patience et de l'humilité puisque c'est toujours nécessaire de faire des efforts pour améliorer ses postures. .

First time trying the standing split poses at the end (anyone know the name ?!) there's definitely a difference between my two sides 😂 but still pretty pleased!

Nice hip flexor and hamstring warm up first as if I was going to do the splits, then just did them stood up 😜
.
I'm probably still going more upsidedown than I should be 🙄 this is very difficult staying the right way up!!

Sitting in office all day or just fiddling with phone, shoulders hold a lot of stress and become heavy causing discomfort. Here is a simple shoulder stretches that can be done on bed as soon as you get up or before going to bed to release all the stress from the shoulder and feel light and relaxed. .
It can be done in pregnancy too but if you have not practiced it before please do it only under guidance as there should be no pressure on the belly and area around the belly. Make sure the bub has enough space to move inside.

I know that chanting OM and extensive savasanas isn't for everyone. I know arm balances and back bends aren't something that most people care to do. 
But I fully believe that yoga is for everyone. I hope to show that. I hope you see my shoulder/back flexibility struggles. I hope you've seen my LONG road to handstand. I hope you see a Mom of 3 still making time for her mental and physical health. I hope you see my love for outdoors and the fun I have getting creative in it. I hope you see my falls, my successes, my frustrations, my excitement. I hope you see a woman who has fought hard to keep the claws of depression from grabbing her again. I hope you are motivated to stretch, run, pump iron and do the hard things. I hope to be relatable in some way. I hope you know that if you ever want help, advise or encouragement, I would LOVE to give it to you 🙏🏻.

Postura del Bailarín o Natarajasana en su origen sánscrito. Es una postura de equilibrio que requiere toda nuestra atención y consciencia en su ejecución para mantenerse estable. 
En ocasiones podemos sentirnos abrumados por nuestras limitaciones (que suelen ser más mentales que físicas), miedo a caernos, tambalearnos o no realizar la postura de la "manera correcta". Pero es justo de eso que se tratan muchos de nuestros desafíos, atreverse a lo desconocido, confiar aunque las inseguridades acechen, bailar armoniosamente aún en medio de la inestabilidad.

En su ejecución se brinda expansión a la caja torácica lo que nos permite respirar mejor, una leve retroflexión en la columna vertebral que revitaliza cada vértebra, mejora la postura y beneficia al sistema nervioso, además fortalece los hombros, los bíceps y los cuádriceps. La cadera recibe una apertura beneficiosa y nuestro sentido del equilibrio y concentración aumenta.

Natarajasana nos enseña a enfocarnos en lo estable, concentrarnos en aquello a lo que aspiramos, para que aún en medio del caos podamos expresar nuestra esencia en equilibrio y bailar fluidamente al ritmo de la vida.

Working at the shelters in the Philippines has been the most emotionally taxing, gut wrenching, but soul purposeFULL experience and I cannot be more honored to serve such a resilient and sincere group of young humans 👼🏼
.
The smile of fierce confidence and self-pride after nailing his first ever attempt at Titibhasana, radiating from the face of a malnourished 14 year old boy that lived out the first years of his existence tied up outside like a “farm animal” and repeatedly tortured by his adopted father. The sound of clarity and empowerment so gracefully expressed by a 15 year old girl that had been rescued from years of forced prostitution after workshopping the power of consent. Those eyes that seem to lovingly pierce your heart from the level of authenticity and sincerity a 6 year old homeless orphan boy says “Thank You”, just because you showed up and reminded him to breathe after beginning his innocent young life incarcerated for stealing food. The feeling of the warmest most gigantic embrace from a 13 year old girl who managed to flip her grip in Natarajasana and stand strong in her balance, she was rescued from her home after being repeatedly raped by her step-brother, step-father and step-grandfather since she was 8 years old 😭
.
The atrocities that so many children are subjected to are both frightening and infuriating. Because fear and love cannot coexist and the fire of my anger fuels me to act, equipping these children with the practice of Yoga embodies the karmic action that aligns with my intention. The act of giving in itself feeds me and the way in which the children choose to receive is truly a bonus! To share presence with the strength and fortitude of these young souls have been more than enough and I will forever hold them in the light of brave warriors that I’ve had the most utmost privilege sharing space and breathe with 🙏🏾

Это тот, кого мы можем понять сердцем своим. Но вопрос в том, живо ли наше сердце?

Нет, оно конечно все еще стучит и гонит кровь по системе, но может ли оно видеть Мир, как продукцию божественного производства. За всей суетой, и хаусом нашей жизни часто мы не слышим голоса сердца и Души.
_

Мы не любим себя, так как все это трудно назвать любовью, то есть состоянием принятия. Мы не услышим голоса своего сердца. ОН будет ждать....долго, возможно не одну жизнь, иногда создавая определенные условия, которые нам очень не нравятся, и организуя встречи, которые только на первый взгляд кажутся случайными и далеко не всегда приятными.

Следовательно, порядок действий таков - прочувствовать свою сущность, полюбить себя, как божественное произведение и возможно ужаснуться тому, что мы с ним сделали. Честный взгляд - это уже огромный шаг вверх. А затем, глядишь, дело дойдет и до ближних, когда мы будем смотреть на них глазами сердца, а не ума.

🔹Крийя нас ждет нежная и светлая. И может быть некоторые искренние "воины света" в конце практики будут сиять в чистом коконе своей ауры. Нужно только постараться вернуться к себе. Не нужно меняться, - просто вернуться к тому, который был всегда с нами и ждал этого часа долго и терпеливо. Этим мы и будем заниматься : принимать, пытаться любить, вибрировать с собой целым, перенаправлять чистую энергию любви к сердечному центру. Мы также проведем сакральную медитацию для баланса духа, ума и тела. 
_ 🔹В течение недели расписание практик хатха-йоги не изменится и мы, уверен, продуктивно попрактикуем нашу любимую йогу, не смотря на естественное осеннее похолодание.
