✨ & BREATHE || 7th December ✨ And today I give you, kneeling meditation. Meditation is a calming process that allows you to centre yourself and be in the present moment. There are four factors to think about before you get into your meditation pose; comfort, stillness, alignment and relaxation. The benefits of sitting on your heels as appose to being crossed leg in lotus pose, is that it is easier to keep your spine straight, creating positive energy throughout your central nervous system. If you have knee issues, apply enough cushioning under your hips so that you can sit comfortably! Like any form of meditation, there are many health benefits; reduced stress, controls anxiety, enhances self-awareness, improves sleep, enhances gratitude and appreciation and the beauty is, you can do it anywhere!! O Shiatsu é um excelente aliado no combate a emoções mais negativas e que nos deixam perturbados. Através do relaxamento e da estimulação de pontos electromagnéticos conseguimos ir libertando carga emotiva, memória e marcas no corpo que a nossa história vai deixando.

Por exemplo, no caso do MEDO, quando o sentimos a nossa energia desce, ficamos indefesos, inseguros. Se a fuga não é possível, a energia fica presa nas costas, os ombros levantam-se, os olhos arregalam-se, todo o corpo contrai-se e torna-se trémulo, anticipando a dor da agressão iminente.

Na sessão de Shiatsu, nestes casos, é importante trabalhar os meridianos do Rim e Bexiga. Devem ser estimulados pontos da região lombar (B52) e glútea, ombros e parte posterior em geral. Shiatsu na cabeça ajuda a calmar e centrar a energia. O trabalho no “hara” é fundamental para “recarregar” a energia geral. 
Exercícios de respiração consciente são ensinados para ajudar na superação libertação da emoção.

I wanted to rant about my yoga practice today.
As I’m teaching yoga classes, you would think I practice daily, but unfortunately, nope nope nope. actually never practiced as little as I did lately (since I started yoga)😔. (It’s in fact not just yoga but exercice in general, but you know why already!). I can’t help feel bad & judged about it. Even discussing in ‘real life’ with teachers I felt their judgement (like how can you teach something you don’t do, well, I honestly don’t think my teaching has been bad if anything I’m learning new things). On my feed there’s so many yogis (teacher or not) with deep/intense/beautiful practices and I’m so easily influenced/trapped thinking, what even..?! am i legitimate now being a yogi on instagram? What’s my flow compared to theirs? 
But before anything, before being a teacher, and before being a yogi, I’m a human, and I’ve always prioritised my health and wellbeing. Sometimes things break our rhythm, our routines, our priorities and I think the most yogic thing to do is actually to honour them, and to let the physical practice be a mirror to our own life journey. 
So here’s me, with my not perfect flow, my not perfect body, my not perfect video edit but that’s perfectly me & my practice right now 😬.. more to come?! maybe!

Even talking to some of you privately it makes me so happy to be able to connect deeper than ever! THANK YOU! I wanted to rant about my yoga practice today. Und zum Glück nicht für ewig 😉 Was ich aus meinem kleinen Experiment jetzt schon gelernt habe: Wenn du eine klare Ausrichtung hast, bist du voll im Moment, wenn du im Moment bist, bist du voll konzentriert, wenn du konzentriert bist, fällt dir alles leichter, weil der Kopf viel wacher und leistungsfähiger ist.

Ich lebe das seit ein paar Wochen - wie du vielleicht gemerkt hast😆 Jedenfalls war es bewusst ruhig auf meinem Kanal und wird es auch noch zwei Wochen bleiben. Йоги говорят: гибкость - это молодость. И по большому счету это правда. С возрастом способность к гибкости начинает постепенно угасать, сухожилия становятся менее эластичными, амплитуда движений уменьшается. Но есть и хорошая новость: если добавить к своей ежедневной активности упражнения на гибкость и растяжку и делать их регулярно, через какое-то время любой человек будет чувствовать себя бодрее и моложе.
Все мы знакомы с простой складкой, или наклоном вперёд, но не все знают о всей пользы, которую несёт её регулярное выполнение:
🔸Успокаивает и расслабляет.
🔸Растягивает и укрепляет мышцы бедер, подколенных сухожилий, икроножные мышцы.
🔸Растягивает мышцы шеи, спины и позвоночника, убирает зажимы и спазмы.
🔸Во время выполнения асаны, к головному мозгу приливает кровь, что благотворно сказывается на его работе. 🔸Тонизирует мышцы живота.
🔸Вытягивает и укрепляет позвоночник, делает его гибким и подвижным.
🔸Улучшает осанку, положительно влияет на координацию.
🔸Стимулирует почки, печень и селезенку, улучшает пищеварение

It may not look like it but we shot this on one of the coldest days, barely 30 degrees!!! Hard to be flexible in these temps. But, its the only free time we had so we thought let’s make it count. @madeline.plucinska wasn’t too thrilled about it, she hates being cold, but the trick is to be super quick and have a warm hide out spot, a car or coffee shop, in between the shots! 
Later, she was go glad we went out because she really liked the shots we created! It’s funny how sometimes we don’t want to push ourselves out of our comforts but when we do we feel so great afterwards! Some days, just showing up is the hardest thing to do but so rewarding when we do! Decision is the ultimate power, so remember if you don’t make a decision in 3 minutes or less you are likely to talk yourself out of things. From the smallest decisions like having your photo taken to big decisions like leaving your job, whatever it is every day give your all, love your all. Don’t let anything ever stop you.

Consistency... Showing up everyday even when you don’t want to. Putting in the work day in and day out. This is how change happens. Building Strength, Stamina and Endurance for the long haul. Success is not a destination, it’s a daily choice to do better and be better than the day before. It doesn’t mean you don’t fall down; it means you picked your self up, dusted off the sand and kept going. You can do it. You just need to keep trying. 
At it again this beautiful morning. Breathing Deep, Rooting to the Earth and reaching for the Sun! Flying through this Saturday ready to play. Grateful for this beautiful Moment!!

Success is not a destination, it’s a daily choice to do better and be better than the day before. When I arrived to Berlin little concepts where growing in my head - where better than here the healing yoga practise could be joined with live ambient performances. After a few years brewing the idea at last I found the best crew to shoot it up into the skies🚀@alessia.ceruti @danaruh @markovela
