It's been a busy weekend, but full of things that lit up my heart. A bridal shower to attend yesterday, visiting one of my best friends and her brand new baby, house chores, and time spent with Zach.

Today I actually had the opportunity to write a little article for someone. This morning I finished up a new blog post (check it out in my bio!), and then was writing again by this afternoon. It's just fun for me to try to engage my mind and create a message.

It's funny, because as busy as the weekend has been as a whole, I'm sitting here realizing that I feel so content. Because the time spent this weekend was spent so well.

It all circles back to today's post, actually, dispelling the myth of "balance" in our lives. The truth is that we aren't seeking balance so much as a sense of peace, contentment, and equilibrium, which is so different for everyone.

I'm entering this week feeling determined to keep doing the things that I love, and that also keep my mind active. Writing, reading, engaging in meaningful conversations.

“I don’t have time to prep and pack my food” .
Today after work and the gym, I was reminded I only have one day off till back on for three full days- I didn’t feel like “wasting” my day prepping my food for the week. .
While I was making dinner tonight, I realized I could multitask and at least get some breakfasts made so I only have a few other meals to make tomorrow for the week. .
Chopped potatoes, seasoned and in the air fryer for 25 mins. Defrosted frozen veggies and cooked with egg whites, then fried three eggs for each day to have with my avocado toast- hope no one steals my bread this week like today😒 Who even does that?!....
.
Anyways - point being, “I” whom have been prepping my food for years now, still felt like I was going to have no time or waste so much time tomorrow doing it when this literally took me less than a half hour to make- and not an extra half hour because I was already cooking for tonight’s dinner too. .
No time is no excuse- you can prep a decent couple meals in a short amount of time! .
You only have no time if it’s not a priority of your time!⏱ And your health and well being is something you should make time for! Be happy, healthy, and feel satisfied by eating healthy, REAL food!! It’s Sunday- prep ahead a few meals for your week!!

There’s a common misconception that “fit people” have their life together 24/7. It’s like once you obtain a certain form of physical status you don’t have days where you struggle with maintaining the lifestyle. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

A healthy lifestyle is like a marriage. You have to choose that lifestyle every day. Yeah you have some bad days. Maybe you don’t want to work out. Maybe you’re tired. Maybe you’ve been off with your diet. Maybe your headspace hasn’t been the best. Regardless, if you have some bad days that ok. Get back on the wagon when you can.

It’s easy to beat yourself up when you trip up, but who is that helping? A couple bad days aren’t going to ruin everything you’ve worked for. Could it possibly delay them? Sure. Ruin? No. So stop being so hard on yourself.
