Gosh I am so happy with how far I’ve come! Over the past year I decided it was time for me to change, I was to the point where I was sick of being where I was at.
I was at my heaviest weight, for me that was 159lbs.
The weight gradually kept creeping up from the 120’s A LONG time ago 😂 to the 130’s, the 140’s and 159 at my highest I knew i was no longer “just bloated” which is what I kept telling myself 🙈
I knew I was not going to watch that scale hit 160. In the beginning for me it was all about the scale, all about the number, I was fixated on it, I was fixated on calories and tracking everything.
That was not the right mindset or approach either! I am more than a number in a scale and once we moved and my scale was packed away, I was happier not constantly checking my weight or obsessing over those numbers. I stopped tracking every damn calorie and eat whatever the hell I want to now. I try to just be realistic and pay attention to portion.
I eat sugar probably every dang day and no I’m not saying to do this, I need to stop this!! I’m just saying don’t restrict things so much that you can’t enjoy food.
Food fuels our bodies, just try to make better choices most of the time.
By doing small things daily and consistently you can do this to!
In the beginning I took a lot of rest breaks, sometimes I still take rest breaks but I am definitely stronger and healthier than where I was on 12/26/18 when I made the decision to be better and do better for myself!
I’m not perfect by any means, I have things I need to moor every upon but that’s why we have goals for ourselves, and that’s why they change because we grow as we make progress and change!
