The tears would not stop flowing today.
I feel your presence so strong,
your hand wrapped around mine,
the smell of your skin and hair.
I see your smile and the smell of Listerine on you breath.
I hear you humming the words to, “I need you to survive”.
I hear you proclaiming, “I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1
I hear you speaking light and power over my life, encouraging me to live fully.
I hear you affirming the little girl born to young parents, telling me of my Divine power.
I feel you holding me tight.
I feel the presence of the God you prayed to and helped me get to know.
Thank you, Lord for my Mary.
Thank you for the faith of my ancestors.
Thank you for their prayers.
Thank you for how You cover me.
Filled with gratitude and faith.
In her honor.
Mary sat next to me in service today, and God knew that is exactly what I needed.
Thank you, Lord.
