My honeymoon with @rachel.pohl complete with very few plans aside from getting to know a part of the world that is starting to feel like our home away from home.

Just a few days in, I feel like we struck gold: my friend tipped me off that the first winter swell of the Norwegian arctic surf season was headed our way, which eventually lead to this moment: sitting beside the road, warming our hands by our trusty camp stove, my wife wrapped up in my arms on the edge of a freshly cut field - the smell of grass still hanging in the wet air - surrounded by a band of thick, wooly, Old Norwegian sheep deep in the Lofoten islands after a surf session I'd peg as one of my best... complete with arctic terns slicing through stiff offshore winds, their keen eyes searching for the silvery glint of small fish whose counterparts certainly fed the bigger fish now simmering in our pan, poised to warm us from the inside out as many cod ultimately do in this part of the world.
