FINAL SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT:
Most of you have probably noticed that Authors has been dormant for several months and there are many reasons for that. Several different circumstances and decisions within the band have lead us to make a final decision about the future of the project and it is with much consideration that Authors has decided to disband.
For a while we've struggled with the idea of doing a final show. But we began to think about everything the Indianapolis music scene has done for us including all the friendships, opportunities, partnerships, and unforgettable moments it has provided. Ultimately we have decided to give back to the scene and provide the closure and the one last performance that you all deserve.
The past two years have been incredible for us and though there are many things we would have done different now, it has honestly been an incredible journey of adapting, learning, loving, and growing with each other and all who were involved. We are proud of everything we have accomplished locally and regionally and will let all the shows, all the numbers, and all the incredible past opportunities speak for themselves. We couldn't have done it without you.
The biggest of thank you's to everyone who has ever seen us live, ever sang along, played a show with us, booked us, downloaded or bought Tides or Dead Oak, purchased any of our merch, encouraged, lead, or even just talked to us along the way. There are way too many personal thank you's to give out and you know who you are if you have been there for us in any way. It would mean the world to see you all and rock the Hoosier Dome one last time at Authors final show.
